"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

He listened to our ideas and provided very practical solutions and helped us with zoning variances. During the design phase, they added "and Builders" to their services. We selected Idea over a lower bid because of our good experience with Peter. The build is in progress and the sub-contractors are profession and do quality work. I will update this report when the build portion is complete."

"Mick and Jim showed up early and ready to work.  They were professional and worked cleanly.  The fans were installed in my 2 sons rooms.  We had them run a new line to each room and use remotes for the fans.

"I hit the jackpot finding Fil & Thor Build. I live between Chicago and another state and wanted to complete my project while I was away, to avoid having to live through the construction. I had quotes from a couple of other contractors, all provided half baked quotes and were slow to respond to my emails. I contacted Thor Build online and got a return call from Fil soon after my initial inquiry. We made an appointment and Fil showed up as scheduled and was quick to send me an estimate as promised. Throughout the entire project Fil kept me updated on the progress. His communication is by far the best that I've experienced with any contractor. The project went smoothly and all of my questions were answered promptly. I also had a couple of additional small requests, which Fil gladly accommodated. I can't praise Thor Build enough for their professionalism and craftsmanship. Everything turned out exactly how I envisioned, and my place was clean when I returned home. The most amazing part is that all of this happened while I was away. I wholeheartedly recommend Thor Build!"

"The project we partnered with Kucera Construction on was a behemoth. We brought our 100+ yr home up to the modern day while keeping the original charm. Refurbished some rooms and floors, gutted and redid others. Several bathrooms were gutted, re-designed and brand new. The scope of this job was enormous. Peter and team could not have been better to work with and the quality of work is impeccable. Simply stated, when we were ready to refinish the outside of the home, there was no question on who we'd hire."

"Tom is the kind of craftsman you hope to find when you join Angie's
List.  Quite simply, everything he does is done with such great
attention to detail --- just as if he were d*** it on his own home.   I
don't know what else you could ask for.   Tom worked on my home for
about 6 months and during that time served as the general contractor for
what ended up being pretty much a full house renovation involving
demolition, a new kitchen, new bath, lots of new flooring installed
(tile & wood), framing, trim carpentry,  installing doors,
cabinetry, insulation, painting --- you name it and we did it. 
Tom also managed several of the other trades that had to come and go while also
handling lots of the purchasing of materials.  Our projects posed
several challenges and Tom is a real problem solver - and he won't give
up before he's done it right  Not only that but on more than one
occasion I will admit that I wanted to cut a few corners (to save some
$$) and Tom talked me out of it.  He helped me see why "we must do it
the right way" which I learned is how Tom approaches everything he works
on.  He never cut corners or took shortcuts and the fact is he was
always right!     He is a real professional in the way he approaches his
craft and the way he took care of our home.
Our renovation project would not have turned out nearly as nice as it did without Tom's
persistence, hard work and high standards for quality work.  If you are
looking for an honest, hard working and true professional to work on
your home, you can not go wrong with giving Tom a call.  His pricing is
fair, his standards are high and he will stand behind his work - you
will not be disappointed.
