"We first hired ABC Home Expert in May of this year to help with renovation of the property in Lake Forest. The house was in poor condition and we needed to re-imagine kitchen, re-do bathrooms, re-finish flooring, drywall, painting. We interviewed multiple contractors and had one starting the work on the home. Unfortunately workmanship and punctuality of that contractor was not very good. Kate from ABC was originally referred by a friend to design and install the new kitchen but since previous contractor didn't workout, we asked her to provide an estimate and see if her team can fix the issues created by previous contractor and finish the work. Kate addressed all the concerns, answered all the questions, helped with design and personally ensured that all the work was done correctly. I was so impressed by their work that I immediately hired ABC to re-do laundry in my house and now working with them on redesigning and rebuilding my kitchen. "We had a full bathroom gutted to the studs and redone entirely. Best things I appreciated about the experience was 1) The proposal was incredibly detailed and procedural, which is something our other candidates did not provide, 2) Jim, John and Jose showed up every weekday, consistently and timely, and took the necessary and thoughtful steps to protect the rest of the house, 3) The work was performed carefully with good attention to detail, 4) While there were unexpected circumstances during the remodel that resulted in slightly more work and money than originally proposed, all of it was fairly priced and necessary for what we wanted, 5) Jim was receptive in discussing different options and really made an effort to figure out solutions that would be best for function and aesthetics. "Last year we replaced our hundred year old garage. We live in an historical district. So there were a number of requirements beyond normal. Garage For You told us when each phase of the process would be done and they stuck to the schedule. There were a few unique features that they were able to accommodate. I had saved and refurbished five original windows from the old garage. And I also duplicated the original trim. They incorporated both of these items into the design for the new garage and installed them. We had another company apply a stucco finish to the garage. Garage For You workers prepared the walls as the stucco company requested. The stucco company said that the preparation was excellent. The electrical and final inspections were flawless. We are very pleased with the quality of the work, the flexibility of the design process and the overall responsiveness and availability of the workers and office staff.
