We chose to have our attic insulated and our ducts sealed. Our ducts saw a 93.5% improvement, and we immediately noticed the difference in the temperature of our second floor. Even during this prolonged heat wave, we have been able to keep our temperatures much lower than before. The attic insulation has also decreased the temperatures of the upstairs. It has been a remarkable difference. We are fully expecting our house to be more comfortable in the winter as well. "George came out promptly and did a thorough inspection of the crawlspace and provided options on what can be done. The insulation work was performed by Jesus who also found and fixed two foundation cracks. Encapsulation was done by Juan's team and they all did a great job. They were able to perform all the work with a very narrow opening into the crawlspace and were also able to fit in the dehumidifier. After installation there was a minor issue with the dehumidifier and Craig came right away to fix it. Great experience and I'd definitely use their services in the future if need be."

"We have an approximately 600 square foot crawl space that
was in dire need of water proofing.  And High Tech Waterproofing did a
great job on our crawlspace encapsulation.  The bid process went smooth
and was straightforward.  The bid was around $5500 with no real
upselling.  We had a few foundation cracks that were sealed, some train
tile installed,  a backup sump pump system with battery installed, a
thick(40-50 mil) poly liner laid over the gravel surface with no seams, and 2?
of spray foam insulation sprayed over the exterior  foundation walls.
We had a tight schedule to get the work done and Chuck and
his team were very courteous and professional and worked with us to accommodate
our needs.   They worked efficiently and thoroughly and did a good
job cleaning up after themselves when the job was completed.
I would highly recommend them and would certainly use them

"Only time will tell whether the work permanently fixes the cold air problem that caused my burst pipes, but as of today (the day GMS completed the work) I'm thrilled with GMS's responsiveness, professionalism, and work quality.  Pipes in my basement that routinely froze in cold weather due to poor insulation finally gave way and burst last week.  Plumbers had to come out in the middle of the night to replace the pipes, and in doing so they had to cut into the drywall and ceiling in my basement.  So now I had a basement wall and ceiling with large holes in them, and a wet wall just waiting to grow mold.

GMS was actually the second place I called - the first place told me they were booked and wouldn't be able to come out until the end of February.  That obviously was not an option.  Based on the good reviews, I then tried GMS.  Greg, the owner, was great.  He agreed to come out THE NEXT MORNING at 8:00 a.m. to give me an estimate.  He was right on time and was very professional and honest with the scope of work that needed to be done.  He had some great insight into how to do the insulation differently so that the cold air problem would be solved.  All in all, I was left with the impression that he was the right guy for the job.

He got me a written estimate later that morning, and agreed to start work THAT AFTERNOON.

The whole project took 3 days - first day they knocked down the wet wall and removed all the insulation.  The sealed off the area with plastic and blasted a dehumidifier all night.  Day 2 they insulated and did most of the work installing the new wall.  Day 3 they finished off the wall and left the entire area immaculately clean. 

I wasn't home during the actual work, but Greg provided me daily updates as to progress and always answered my calls and emails.

The wall looks better than ever; and there is now a vent built in to help warm air circulate into the space, and the pipes and the whole space behind the wall are well insulated.  As I said at the top, only time will tell whether this permanently solves the frozen pipe problem.

Bottom line is that Greg was extremely responsive and did high quality work at a reasonable price.  I still can't get over that he was able to start the work the day after I first called him.
