"JRS Plumbing came out, assessed what needed to be done, and gave me a fair price for the work. They returned the very next day, completed the job promptly, and delivered quality workmanship. I was very happy with the entire experience and will definitely use them again."

"I discovered this company a few years ago. Prices are fair and service top-notch. My house is getting older now, and these guys are great at fixing the age spots in our house. Follow-through and quality is unbeatable compared to what used to be A-1 plumbing. I can't say enough about how easy it is working with Chris N. and Chris H. I highly reccomend thes folks!"

"We had a major leak in our crawl space and Boise Family Plumbers identified and fixed the problem quickly and correctly. Thomas also noticed a few things that werenâ t to code and fixed those as well to prevent further problems. Very professional service and a reasonable price. A very good value for my home. I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them for any future plumbing needs."

"This company is AMAZING!!! They worked harder than any other plumbing company I have hired previously to help me with my problematic sewer drain problem. Zach the owner went Above and Beyond what any other company was willing to do. If I could rate them 10 stars, I would."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

The size of the pipe you use for your shower depends on the part of the shower you’re installing. Shower drainpipes have a 2-inch diameter, and the water supply lines (both hot and cold) have a ½-inch diameter. You may want to slightly increase the size of the vertical pipe if you have dual showerheads. Check the local building code prior to installation for guidance.

Yes, you can put a bathroom in a bump-out. Some homeowners build a bump-out to enhance their bathrooms with new sinks, vanities, tubs, showers, or linen closets. Depending on the layout of your bathroom and what you’re adding to it, you may need to install new plumbing or reroute your existing plumbing lines.

Plumbing installation can take a few days to a week, depending on the size and scope of the remodel and the coordination with other trades.

Homeowners insurance may cover shower pan leaks, but it depends on the type of coverage you’re looking for. Typically, home insurance policies cover sudden or accidental water damage, for example, if it comes from a busted pipe or malfunctioning appliance. Damage to a shower pan is usually gradual. A repair or replacement of your shower pan usually won’t be covered by your policy. If your shower pan leak causes water damage, chances are your standard policy—if it includes water damage—will cover the repair.

A sewage smell in your crawl space is usually from a damaged or clogged pipe leaking sewer gasses or actual sewage underneath your home, but there are some other common causes. Moisture, from poor or damaged encapsulation or a malfunctioning sump pump, can harbor mold and bacteria, causing a musty smell. Pests can also get stuck in your crawl space and die, which causes a sewage-like odor.
