Small jobs welcome

"Arrived on time. Trouble shot the problem, found the problem, fixed it. My motion sensor needed to be re mounted after siding crew removed it. It wasn’t getting any juice. Works great now. He also attached the door bell button and replaced the chime box. He will be back to fix a span of my fence in the future."

"We had Mike remodel our Kitchen, 2 bathrooms, paint our house and redo our roof on our garage. We definitely got lucky with Mike. You hear all the nightmares, so it is tricky randomly picking someone. Mike completed all the jobs on time and budget. He showed up on time and when he said he would. I couldn't recommend him enough. He is my first call when we are looking to complete other projects. You will not be disappointed."

"Charlie is way more than a handyman. His many decades of experience and SKILL is immediately evident. I hired him to replace a deck with composite. He showed up when he said he would and did not leave the job until completed. As a single women I felt safe and confident the job would be done right. He will be my go to guy for any and all future projects."

Treehouse Builders questions, answered by experts

Your property is a strong candidate for greenhouse and nursery service if you have south-facing or west-facing sun exposure. Check your local HOA rules, as they strictly regulate structure visibility and materials. Verify your zoning setbacks and height limits for accessory structures. If your yard has heavy ID caliche soil with poor drainage, build raised beds instead. Homes with pressurized irrigation access offer excellent water sources for these projects.

Helpful?

Adding greenhouse and nursery service impacts your property by increasing demand on your pressurized irrigation connection, lowering water pressure for existing landscaping. Using municipal water triggers higher usage rates. You must evaluate your electrical load before adding heating or ventilation to meet ID safety codes. Keep new drainage systems far from your foundation, as local clay soils retain moisture and create heavy hydrostatic pressure against your home.

Helpful?

Combine greenhouse and nursery service with broader irrigation upgrades to utilize your single pressurized connection efficiently. Upgrading your electrical panel simultaneously provides the necessary power for winter heating and summer ventilation fans. Address grading and drainage issues in your Meridian yard at the same time to protect your foundation from moisture retention. Coordinate these combined projects in late summer to prepare everything before the next spring planting window opens.

Helpful?

Schedule greenhouse and nursery service before mid-April to prepare for the local growing season. Inspect structural glazing and ventilation in late February or early March to handle hot Meridian summers and cold winters. Check your frames for stress from winter snow loads. Rework your beds early if the heavy clay soils compact over the winter. Ensure your irrigation connects before the city system activates in April.

Helpful?

Before starting greenhouse and nursery service, secure a building permit from the city for any structure over 200 square feet. Submit your plans for HOA approval weeks in advance. You must contact the state dig line at least two business days before excavating ID soil to avoid striking underground utilities. If you plan to connect to the pressurized irrigation system, coordinate directly with the local irrigation district to ensure compliance.
