Small jobs welcome

"Kristian and Jimmy provided excellent communication, care and prices. all above is important to me. As a veteran it is often sometimes frustrating to find someone who responds in a timely and effective manner that i am used to and in Kristin and Jimmy i found that same sense of professionalism i was accustomed to and found often lacking elsewhere. Everything i needed done was completed in a transparent, professional, time efficient and quality manner and was explained to me how it all worked and what was done. I highly recommend them if you want quality work done and want to be treated like a valued customer and like your business matters"

"Gitzit has prompt replies, will show up when they say and do very quality work for a fair price. He installed my Tesla Charger, Panel upgrade from 100 amp to 200 amp, multiple outlets and even ran speaker wire for ceiling speakers!"

"Do not even bother looking around for another electrician. Seriously. I am fairly disloyal when it comes to paying for services (hair, electricians, cars, anything) and will basically hire whoever can come the fastest slash whoever is the cheapest slash some combo of those plus decent reviews. If I needed electrical work done, I would wait a month for this guy. Maybe 2. He's so good, so efficient, and as far as installation goes you get way more for your money - he spent at least 3 total hours planning out where to place new canned lighting/LED wafers so that the light would fall in the most highly utilized areas of the room and also be aesthetically pleasing on the ceiling when factoring in existing fixtures. He was also literally HALF the cost of other quotes I got. I can't say enough about my experience. He installed two new outlets, added 5 wafer lights on a high, steeply pitched vaulted ceiling, gave me advice about a new exhaust fan and how my husband could probably do it himself and what to look for, and also changed out a couple existing fixtures. And in the course of his work spruced up some fixtures my husband had put up. I rarely take time to write reviews - just call Brian."

"The person I spoke with on the phone was very professional. They could fit me into the schedule within two days of my phone call. However, the price quoted to install my ceiling fan was about $50-$75 higher than two other electric companies that I contacted."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Whether you can install a ceiling fan yourself depends on if you're replacing an existing fixture or installing one where no wiring exists. If you are replacing an existing fan, an experienced DIYer may be able to do the job, which can save on labor costs. This work typically doesn’t require a permit, but there’s always a safety risk when dealing with electrical components, so hiring a pro is still a good idea, especially if you aren't handy. Keep in mind you may need a special ladder for high or vaulted ceilings. However, if you are installing a new ceiling fan where there is no current fixture, you must hire a licensed electrician. In most areas, it is required by law that a professional runs new wiring and pulls the necessary permits. Attempting to install wiring yourself can be dangerous and a code violation.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

To convert a ceiling fan to wireless, you’ll need to install a canopy module to access the lighting and fan controls. Many options are available, all of which help you control specific elements of your ceiling fan, so you have plenty of choices depending on your needs.

Since the cost of installing a ceiling fan is $250 for most homeowners, it might be beneficial to replace your existing fan if you are experiencing a significant repair issue, like a broken motor. However, for less expensive repairs, like a fan blade replacement, you’ll likely spend less on the repair than a complete fan replacement. Of course, if you’re looking for an upgrade or a new style fan, replacing it altogether is always an option.

If you’re replacing an old fixture with a ceiling fan, you usually won’t need a permit, but if your electrician runs new wiring for the fixture, you likely will need a permit. Building permits are necessary in most municipalities if you’re making changes to your electrical system, so even if you have partial wiring run to the area and need new wiring installed for added functionality, you’ll probably need a permit. Your electrician should be able to let you know if you need one, and they’ll typically file the paperwork for you.
