"JBA Home - Jeff and Jerry did an excellent job replacing my sliding glass door with a French door. They were on-time, skilled, professional, caring, careful, and good communicators. All in all, a quality product for a very reasonable cost. From the initial call to the completed job, it was a pleasure working with Jeff and Jerry."
"Arrived on time. Trouble shot the problem, found the problem, fixed it. My motion sensor needed to be re mounted after siding crew removed it. It wasn’t getting any juice. Works great now. He also attached the door bell button and replaced the chime box. He will be back to fix a span of my fence in the future."
"Alan made sure the job was done right. He came to repair my french doors that allowed water in when it rained. It was a trial and error process, and he returned 3 times to make sure the job was complete. Thanks, Alan!"

"We hired Dale to replace our front exterior door and repair the door jam. Our home was built in 1910 and needless to say it needed A LOT of love put into it. Dale completely transformed the front door. The door is now sealed all the way around, closes perfect and looks brand new! I canâ t believe he was able to make the door jam look like that after the shape it was in. He was efficient, had great communication and was very reasonable. Highly recommend, I donâ t think thereâ s a better door man. Will definitely be calling him again for all our future door needs!"
"Had Pete help me put up the walls and roof on a shed kit-something that is definitely a two man job. Not only did he perform the job satisfactorily he also taught me what points of the structure were likely to fail (either by poor design or by wear and tear) and how to prevent issues in the future.
Knowledgeable, professional, and entirely capable. If you have a job that needs a handyman I cannot recommend Pete enough"
"Charlie was in constant communication over different aspects of multiple projectsts. He replaced an outside sliding door and did major wall repair in a bathroom. He did a fantastic job and I will be utilizing his services in the future."
Spacing a door is tricky since you need to leave enough of a gap for the door to move freely and not get stuck when the slab and frame contract and expand in dry and humid conditions. The ideal gap between a doorframe and slab is 1/8 of an inch. If the gap is any larger, the door will feel drafty. But if the gap is any smaller, the slab can get stuck due to weather changes.
You should prime interior doors before painting for the best results. If you do paint directly on the wood, you could see some of the grain patterns show through the paint, in which case you’d need to apply additional coats. Priming the surface before painting will reduce the number of coats and can better cover the grain pattern for a clean, finished look.
Yes, door hinges can sag over time. This usually happens due to things like repeated use, loose screws, worn hinge pins, or the door's weight pulling on the frame. When hinges sag, you'll often notice the door sticking, dragging, or not latching properly. Tightening the screws or replacing worn parts can usually help to realign the door.
Yes, door sills are necessary components for most doorways. They serve several crucial functions, including weatherproofing, structural support, and aesthetic enhancement. Without a door sill, you risk water infiltration, drafts, and potential damage to the door and surrounding structure. Therefore, while they may seem small and often overlooked, door sills play a significant role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of a building's entryways.
Security doors are not limited to standard sizes, and you can customize them to fit your needs and entryway dimensions. That's one of the fantastic things about security doors—they can be tailored to match your home. Keep in mind that a custom-sized security door will likely cost more than a standard size.
