"I have The Yard Butler, in Idaho Falls, do all my yard and pest control needs. Today my steady and dependable Paul showed up and we had forgotten he was coming. He was patient and while I and room mates got up and about , Paul finished the outside then came in completed the inside. I am one for having the same person that I can trust, come to my home and do their job and I don't have to worry. Paul I'm sure deserves a raise but keeps on with a happy attitude. Don't pick up or dispose of aeration plugs. They will break down by themselves in one or two weeks. Rainfall will speed this up, as will watering the lawn. Aeration is the gentler option and often the preferable one. Dethatching completely tears out the thatch layer of the lawn and can inadvertently yank out healthy grass if done incorrectly. Aeration loosens the soil and only removes small cores of it.

It depends on the condition of the grass during the drought. If your grass completely died, it won’t turn green again after drought. However, if it just went dormant, you still have a chance to revive your lawn once drought conditions have passed.
