"Job was completed as requested and as quoted. Only two men took down my large tree with my travel trailer parked close by. I wanted the wood so they stacked the large pieces and rounds neatly by the side of the house. Cleanup was excellent. Both men were professional, hard working, skilled and efficient. Price was right, results were perfect. I highly recommend P&R Tree Service. Ask for Dillon."

Customers say: Quick response

"Chandar tree service was professional, very efficient and did a wonderful job at cutting the trees and the clean up. I was impressed with they had all the equipment onsite they needed their chainsaws were sharp and 2 cuts and the tree was down. They had the appropriate number of workers to run all equipment. A tree that was between 2 homes was trimmed exactly perfect with the property line without any mishaps. These guys know what they are doing and so very efficient. Thank you Chandler tree service. You are great with customers and work ethics."

"Andy did a great job and he came out the next day. We have a large tree that splits into 2 very large limbs. the tree shows cracking where the right limb attaches and it was an emergency situation. He trimmed the tree without issue. I would hire again."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The safest way to cut down a tree is to make sure you’re completely prepared and have done all the necessary safety checks, including double-checking your equipment is in good working order, you have plenty of clearance to fell the tree, you’re wearing all the safety gear, and you have a partner to help you (who should also be wearing safety gear).

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.

Not all leaning trees are dangerous, but they can be a hazard as gravity may eventually cause them to fall. A key factor is whether the lean is new or has been present for a long time. Trees that have grown with a lean for years are not typically an immediate danger, but a sudden lean is a cause for concern as it often indicates weakening roots. If a tree is leaning more than 15% from vertical, you should consider having it straightened or transplanted. To be safe, it's always best to hire a professional arborist to inspect any leaning tree to assess the risk and avoid potential accidents.

Yes, burning wood with Dutch elm disease is a safer way to dispose of it than, say, tossing it in with the rest of your yard waste, which could potentially allow it to spread to healthy trees. But it’s always a good idea to check with your local government to make sure you’re complying with any ordinances about removing diseased trees as well as burning brush piles.

In most cases, you should not use a pruning seal on trees after trimming. Applying a sealant can interfere with the tree's natural healing process, and it does not guarantee protection from pathogens. Instead of sealing the cut, the best practice is to support the tree's natural recovery by providing it with plenty of water and a dormant-style fertilizer. However, there are exceptions. Pruning seals may be recommended for very vulnerable species, like elm trees, in areas where dangerous diseases such as Dutch elm disease are prevalent. In these specific situations, the protection offered by a sealant can outweigh its downsides. For advice tailored to your situation, especially after cutting large branches, it is best to consult a local tree trimming professional.
