At Clark Brothers, our distinction goes beyond roofing and exterior renovations. It’s rooted in our family ethos and veteran values. We are more than just a service provider; we are dedicated to improving your property and safeguarding your investments. We take immense pride in fostering a sense of community, whether through enhancing your residential / commercial space or by championing opportunities for others. We are committed to making every neighborhood a better place. That's the Clark Brothers difference.

"Clark Brothers Roofing came out to our home after we had a very bad storm with high winds and heavy rain. This was late September 2024. We noticed Sheetrock on the floor in our front bedroom. We then noticed water dripping from the ceiling. After calling, Myles arrived later that day and took a look on our roof as well as climbed around in our attic. He made the assessment that potentially fasteners in our portion of the roof which is metal may have water leaking around them. He also noticed a gap in the siding plank top board which is under the overhang of the front dormer. He came back on a later date and sealed around the fasteners as well as along the top siding board under the dormer. He recommended that the other side dormer top board should be tacked on better and then sealed. He said not to hesitate to call back if after rain, any additional leaks were noted. While here on his initial visit, he offered to put up plastic in our attic to catch any water leaking but we said we won’t do any ceiling repairs until the roof repair is complete. We would just be watching for any leaking. Fortunately, since the leak occurred, no significant rain had fallen. Each time Myles was here, he was pleasant, very informative of what he observed, and what he planned to do. We felt that he was honest and trustworthy and felt like we would not be sorry for choosing this company. We would highly recommend Clark Roofing to anyone having a roof problem. If you want a quality, honest, and trustworthy company that stands by their work, you should call this one. Our neighbor had used them before and recommended them to us. We are very glad they did. With all the shady companies out there, it’s nice to find one like this."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Although not every state issues licenses for roofing pros, it's important to check with your county or city if hiring a licensed roofing contractor is necessary.

Hiring an unlicensed roofer might result in low-quality work and potential legal issues if an accident happens. It’s always best to check the qualifications and licenses of your roofer before they begin a project.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

The cost to replace your roof is often significantly more expensive than the cost to repair it. On average, homeowners will spend between $5,890 and $12,800 to replace a roof. The size of the roof, the roof’s pitch, and the number of stories the house has will significantly affect the overall cost. You can expect to spend upwards of $46,000 for large, high-end roofs.

This all depends upon size, type and complexity of the actual sloped areas of the roof.  An accurate estimate with detailed lists of covered and additional items is imperative when purchasing and protecting yourself during the process.

The average roof replacement in Southeast Wisconsin is $12,000. They usually range between $8,000 and up to $24,000.

$9,500 to $23,000.

Answered by David Wetzel at Rooftek in Portland, OR on 01/10/25

Typical roofing repairs cost between $380 and $1,800 on average. However, most homeowners spend approximately $1,100 on a roofing repair project. The size of the roof, the extent of the damage, and the type of project all impact the final cost. External factors like product availability and supply chain issues may also affect the price.

Projects like repairing damaged gutters will only be around $180 to $560, whereas repairing a sagging roof will be a higher expense at $1,500 to $7,000

Roof repairs start at around $700.00 and go up from there.  There are many significant factors that come into play, and each customer's needs will rarely be the same.

All damage is different. I would recommend getting three quotes broken down by labor and materials.

Repair costs in this area are around $1,500.

Answered by Fidel Cruz at C39 Roofing in San Marcos, CA on 01/07/25

Repair costs are affected by geographic location such as ice & water underlayment requirements in the North and hurricane durability requirements in the Southeast.  Other things that affect the cost are quality of materials, layers of tear-off, condition of the decking, and the style and pitch of your roof.  Ask contractors to explain their price if they are higher, they are likely being more honest about what the replacement requires.

Before hiring a roofing contractor to work on your project, there are a few things you will want to ask, including:

  • Do you use roofing subcontractors?

  • Do you offer a warranty?

  • Do you have any references?

  • How will you clean up after the project is complete?

  • Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

How long have your crews been working with you?

Do you offer a warranty?

Do you have any references?

How will you clean up after the project is complete?

Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

Answered by Scott A Margiano Sr. at Calvary Remodeling LLC in Shelton, CT on 01/09/25

How long should this product last in my area and does the manufacturer stand behind the product for that length of time?

What is the difference between manufacturer and contractor warranty?

Do you have any references?

Answered by Scott Perkins at Strive Roofing in Mesa, AZ on 01/07/25

Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

Will the roof you install be warrantied against black streaks?

Will the roof you install last as long as the warranty? Or will it only last about half as long?

Answered by Tracy Badra at Community Construction in Lansing, MI on 01/07/25

Does your company have multiple locations?  This will let you know if they are truly local or a large company briefly working your area after a storm.

Do you offer a workmanship warranty?  Confirm in writing the time length and details of such warranty.

Do you have quality reviews?  All roofing contractors have references of their successful jobs.  Good contractors won't have many negative reviews.

How will you protect our windows, siding and landscaping?

Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

Some disqualifying signs to look for are:

-Did the contractor cold call or knock on your door?

-Does the contractor look or talk like a salesman?

-Does the contractor have profiles on many different websites?  Poor contractors will avoid an online presence to avoid bad reviews.

Answered by Michael E. Voelker at ProCrafters Roofing in Allison, IA on 01/06/25

Roofing is a highly skilled and labor-intensive trade. Because of this, you can expect to pay an average of $2 per square foot for your roofing professional. Roofing labor costs generally make up about 60% of the overall project cost.
