Customers say: True professional

"Kudos to Rustic Remodel for a job well done. Patrick and helper arrived on time. They were professional and personable. They did an excellent job installing a door between the sunroom and dining room. They also assembled a dresser and repaired the wardrobe door. I was very impressed with the quality of the work and their work ethic. Will definitely hire again for other projects."

"Design Meets Durability Most designers can make something look good, but MDH also makes sure it lasts. The tile work, the joinery, the paint application—everything was done with quality in mind. It’s as functional as it is stunning."

"Jose and his team did an excellent job. I hire Cali Landscaping to plant 17 trees in my backyard to reduce noise from the road. They were very professional, even dug up some existing tree to try and save them. It was raining upon their arrival but that didn’t stop Cali Landscaping they proceeded with the project. Jose is very knowledgeable about design and planting trees and shrubs. Would recommend Cali Landscaping for any landscaping services."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can technically make a crawl space liveable, but the only way to do so is by converting it into a basement. While some crawl spaces are big enough to walk through and store large items, they lack appropriate insulation and space to be liveable.

Above ground pools are not buried in the ground. Typically, above ground pools are semi-permanent. One reason they’re more affordable is that you don’t have to dig for an inground pool and pour concrete or another material. However, you can choose to install a semi inground pool, which is a hybrid between the two.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Yes, trenchers can go through gravel. Gravel is made up of smaller, softer rocks that certain trenchers are able to cut through. Just be sure to use a rock wheel trencher or chain trencher, both of which are made to cut through rocky landscapes and gravel pathways without dulling the teeth or chain.

Excavation and grading are both generally necessary for designing your foundation, and leveling the ground where your foundation will go. These steps can also prepare the area by removing vegetation and anything else that could interfere with your home’s foundation.
