"BUYER BEWARE! Had a pipe leak within my wall. Caught it fairly early with minimum damage. The Roto Rooter rep Brian came out and inspected and said I needed water mitigation based off the moisture in my walls. When I say the leak wasn't that bad, it really wasn't! He stated that my insurance company would cover it all and that he deals with my particular company all the time and not to worry. I obviously was taken back by the cost of almost 4k! Fast forward, my insurance company are questioning duplicate charges and Roto-Rooter is saying I owe almost 3k or a lien will be placed on my property! This whole water mitigation is a scam and the salesman did not tell the truth. They should have picked up their fans a lot earlier than they did. I'm sure they were trying to milk all the money they could. Over 5k for a bunch of fans in my home. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THIS PLACE! Contacting my lawyer and will have my day in court if necessary. BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS IF YOU ASK ME!"

Tankless water heaters, common in apartments and homes without much space, cost around $2,600 to install. Water expands when heated and also when freezing. When water is heated, it expands by around 4%. For a full water heater, this is one of the main reasons malfunctions occur—the hot water has nowhere else to go but out. Due to the constant expansion and reduction in volume, it’s recommended (required in most places) that an expansion tank be installed.

Basements, specifically those without any air conditioning, are the best location for a hybrid water heater. These rooms are less likely to experience extreme temperature fluctuations, which can affect your hybrid water heater’s efficiency and performance. Basements often have more than enough space for their tanks and proper air circulation. Hybrid water heaters can also be a bit noisy, but putting them in your basement will keep the noise away from your main living areas.

Due to the high temperature, using stainless steel vent pipes for your tankless water heater’s exhaust vent is best. Also, it is safe to use a flexible vent duct as the exhaust fan. If installing the exhaust fan yourself, make sure you are using heat-resistant silicon to connect the exhaust vent and the duct on your water heater.
