"Miley Plumbing, LLC did an awesome job replacing our old-rocky-leaking-â mind of its ownâ toilet. Scott had to repair/replace the broken flange as well. He provided all the material and supplies and hauled off all the trash. In addition, Scott helped us with our new tile shower project. Our fiberglass shower had cracked beyond repair, so we decided to replace with a new tiled shower. Scott assisted us in this project as well. This rumbling noise after flushing may sound like a hammer or knocking inside the walls. When you flush, it opens a valve so additional water can come in. However, if the valve malfunctions, then this rush of water has nowhere to go, which makes all the excess water hit your pipes and create a loud hammering sound.

A gurgling toilet usually doesn’t mean that your septic tank is full. If waste can’t drain into a full septic tank, you’ll see water and sewage backing up into your fixtures, but the air that causes gurgling is a result of poor venting. You can tell if your toilet fill valve is full by removing the lid and taking a look. When you flush the toilet, the float is at the bottom of the tank, the water empties, and the fill valve opens. The float rises to the top as the tank fills again with water. When the float rises to the right level, the fill valve closes; if the valve is too high, your toilet may only partially flush, requiring you to adjust the float. 

If a bolt at the bottom of your toilet tank is loose, it can directly cause a leak. If a bolt securing the toilet base to the floor is loose, it won’t directly cause a leak but can lead to the same result over time. That’s because the loose bolts will eventually move the wax seal or cause cracks in the bowl from the toilet being wobbly.
