"Angelo, of Remedy Plumbing, was so patient, knowledgeable, answered and explained the why of things. I was treated with such respect I was so pleased with my experience. Itâ s taken 6 plumbers to resolve this problem. Angelo saw everything that was wrong with the situation and took care of it. Mike the service manager was extremely helpful as well. Very good communication and everyone was very straightforward, respectful. A great team to work with. Very reasonable pricing and reassuring of workmanship. Hands down the best plumbing company I have had the pleasure to work with. I will be using them in all my projects going forward. This was truly a great fit. They have been very responsive and thorough. Iâ m finally at peace with this aspect of the job. I would give them an A+ rating and feel fully confident in referring them!!"

"Jonathan and crew showed up every day to work on our new grill deck and staircase. Not once did we have to wonder - where are they? When are they coming back? They did a beautiful job- were very neat and tidy with their workspace and did an awesome job of cleanup once the job was done. Would highly recommend this crew."

"Mr. Leo Benitez from Anchor Plumbing provided excellent, same-day service for my daughter in Suwanee- a number of drippy faucets, a broken toilet, etc. Mr. Benitez could not have been more professional and courteous; we were extremely impressed with not only the quality of his work, but the strong impression of an honest, trustworthy individual. There is a really good reason why Anchor Plumbing has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 on the Homeadvisor site. In our opinion it should be 5.0 if not higher. Anyone in the Atlanta metro area who needs a plumber should contact Anchor!"

"Franklins crew arrived as schelduled and after inspeccting the pipes and septic system, determined it was NOT the main drain but merely a busted tub drain that had been damaged during a recent remodel. While there they replaced a p-trap, jetted the lines, emptied the septic tank and replaced the busted pipe. Their crew was AMAZING! They knew exactly what they were doing and didn't go out of their way to break the bank. The work was done in a timely manner and I was notified about each repair or procedure in real time via text or photos or call. I was in utter shock that I had been so bamboozled by such a trusted big name national plumber on my 1st estimate and will NEVER use another Septic Specialist/ Plumber unless it is Franklin's. Twice the work for less than half the original estimate and the work was honest and superior. I could not wait to write this review! It is so rare especially as a woman, to find honest contractors. I would highly recommend this company for all your septic and plumbing. There's a certain peace of mind that comes with knowing a company comes with good marks. Thank you Franklin's and thank you Angies List!!!!!"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

If you notice water leaking down the side of the bowl or tank and you don’t notice any cracks in the porcelain, the odds are that it’s condensation. If you notice water around the base of the toilet, this points to a leak. Check for loose bolts. A sewage odor may also indicate a broken toilet flange.

On average, it costs between $150 and $300 to fix a toilet that’s leaking at the base, including supply charges. If the flange is intact, the cost is between $150 to $200. If the flange needs to be replaced, you can expect an extra $50 or so. The actual price will depend on the hourly rate your plumber charges.

No, your toilet tank should not empty completely when you flush. Although the water level will dip a lot after you flush, it shouldn’t be totally empty. If your tank is empty, you might have issues with your fill valve, float ball, or toilet trip lever. You should check all of your toilet parts to ensure they’re working correctly and make any necessary adjustments.

Plumbing installation costs in renovations typically range from $300 to $1,500 or more, depending on the complexity and specifics of the project.

You can tell if your toilet fill valve is full by removing the lid and taking a look. When you flush the toilet, the float is at the bottom of the tank, the water empties, and the fill valve opens. The float rises to the top as the tank fills again with water. When the float rises to the right level, the fill valve closes; if the valve is too high, your toilet may only partially flush, requiring you to adjust the float.
