  We contacted Wayne Thompson of AWT for an estimate on work for the exterior of our home. Wayne was very professional and pleasant. He was prepared to answer any questions, brought samples of materials to the initial meeting and made suggestions as we talked. We engaged AWT and the new roof and siding look beautiful; the trim very neatly applied. The gutters are sturdy and perform as promised. Likewise the windows, which are so well installed we didn?t even hear the wind howling during a recent storm, though we could clearly see the effect on the trees. Our living room has always been too dark, so we had also decided to take out the chimney and put in a bow window. Wayne suggested that, instead of the bow window, we extend the wall and add a triple window. We followed his suggestion and I am very happy with the result. We gained space in the living room and it was a less expensive option. The window is beautiful and it allows in plenty of light. We were so happy with the exterior work, we decided to go ahead with a kitchen remodel. Again, Wayne and his crew were happy to make suggestions and take our requirements into account. The kitchen lacked adequate storage space and someone suggested moving the entrance to the bedroom and framing in the former entrance. The result is a pantry that is more than four times larger than the original. In addition, AWT replaced all of the cabinets and counters and installed new appliances and lighting. The result is nothing short of breathtaking. We also had a bathtub in the master bath which was never used. We asked Wayne to take out the tub and replace it with a vanity. At the same time, we decided to replace the worn out linoleum in both bathrooms and the kitchen with tile, replace all the carpeting and repaint the entire interior of the house. As with the siding and windows, we are very pleased with the work on the interior. It?s like having a brand new house. All of the workers involved went about their jobs in a professional manner. Each was friendly and very courteous. They were always careful to keep my dogs safe and many of them happily lavished attention on them. The workers were also willing to entertain my special requests, such as installing a new doorbell. Though the nature of the work was quite varied ? running the gamut from carpentry to plumbing, Wayne was able to answer any questions we had. The workers, likewise, were clearly knowledgeable and were always willing to discuss any concerns. My only negative experience involved timing. On more than one occasion, workers were diverted from our job to another residence to handle a problem that had arisen there. I suspect that situation might have occurred no matter which company we chose, however. And it actually boosts my confidence in Wayne?s stated desire to do the best job possible. I feel very confident that, if I call with a problem, Wayne will respond promptly. Bottom line, I cannot recommend this company highly enougshow more

  I am very pleased with my bathroom. The flooring was completely removed, toilet and cabinet too. The copper pipes were replaced in the plumbing under house. I really like the cabinets that Wayne uses. When I asked for samples, he got them to me pretty quickly. He did not mind that I shopped for the tile, countertop, sinks and other things I wanted so I did not have to use a certain company. He was always very patient with my taking time to make decisions. His company also replaced 2 windows. He has a very good crew and if they ran into a problem, he knew what to do. I plan to get him to remodel my kitchen and possible build a garage addition. I have recommended his company to my friendsshow more

  Installed two new walls for use as an office and closed in a space to be used as a testing room for hearing exams. Installed new lighting, refinished ceiling and painted all walls as well as installed crown molding and baseboard trim. Also installed two sink units and installed carpeting in office and vinyl flooring in bathroom. Quality of work was outstanding.   Tear down only took 2 days to tear out and clean up/disposal of everything - we were completely amazed. Then the hard work started. Wayne took my electrical concerns seriously and had a complete inspection done. We had to have some wiring replaced & we added some outlets. Some studs had to be replaced, walls repaired, one wall almost completely rebuilt, and a ceiling repaired and both ceilings refurbished. We had a doorway enlarged and door replaced. An outside wall had to be repaired to stop water from leaking into house. We were going to just replace/repair ceiling insulation in that area of the house but when we asked for a quote on the whole house, we couldn't pass up the savings. We asked for gutters to be added to the house but were told that a color match may not be found so we were going to just go with white; but, Wayne's guys found us the color that matched exactly. It looks wonderful. We have an older home in an older section of our town. Wayne understood we did not want to out-price the value of our home with the repairs that needed to be done at that time and still needed to be done in the future. He made excellent suggestions to help keep us within our budget. We really appreciated his understanding and expertise. He treated us as if he was working on a million dollar home. Each crew that came in was professional and their work was excellent. They strived to do the best work possible and to make sure we were completely satisfied. We were very pleased with all the work and we will definitely call on AWT again. When I have time off of school again next summer, I am hoping he can fit us in to remodel our kitchen and a bathroom. I would like to apologized to Wayne for taking so long to write this review; but, school started and it's been a busy and stressful beginning. I should have taken time to sit and write this sooner. I can only hope he forgives me enough to come back and do some more work next summershow more
