"Found Brian through Angie’s list for a tile install in a small laundry room including some repairs to the subfloor and a new drain. He was very responsive throughout the process. He was able to come the following weekend and finished the install in a day and a half. Would recommend him."

"Definitely would recommend Anthony, Scott and Brice for a shower insert installation. They were "all business" but very friendly. Did a great job of removing all tile from my walk-in shower and replacing with a new insert. It's beautiful. Kevin had an excellent presentation, without being pushy. Very good financing. Veteran owned. Highly recommend."

"Vered Renovations completed two projects for us: a half renovation of the main shower and wood floor repair. We are very pleased with the outcome of both projects and Vered Renovations is our go-to contractor for any future work. Why choose Vered Renovations? - Honesty: We cannot stress this enough. Vered Renovations treated our home and budget like it was their own. There were zero blindsides during the project and all discussions were transparent. - Solution-oriented while striving to stay in budget: Vered Renovations helped us with every step of the project providing cost implications with every decision. When changes occurred, Vered Renovations guided us with clear articulation of our options. - Great network of subcontractors: The end product speaks for itself. Each team was an extension of Vered and it was clear he trusted them and their work. Very quickly, we did too. We felt comfortable with every subcontractor and appreciated their respect for our home - no trash, dust or messes left behind. Details of Projects Main shower renovation included removing shower floor and tile halfway up the wall, installing new shower pan, waterproofing, and matching existing wall tile. Floor repair project included installing heart pine wood planks to repair 12”x12” hole, replacement of cracked and sagging wood plank, and minor crack repair. Floors were made of 100+ year heart pine."

"The construction went extremely well. It was well organized and everything fell into place. The Kitchen turned out to look very elegant and exactly what we wanted. They were built by Creative Basements and turned out better than we even imagined. Everyone that has seen them just loves the Cabinets and Granite tops. My wife loves how the tile bathroom turned out, especially the shower. This is a family business and working with Jason and Bob was quite a pleasure. I will definitely call them for any future projects. My son also used Creative Basements when he had his basement finished and was as pleased as we were with the professionalism and work product of Jason and Bob Richards.

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Phone jack installation can be a complicated project that requires cutting holes into just the right location in the wall and running delicate wiring. This sort of job is best left to the professionals.

The number of boxes of tile you need depends entirely on the amount of tile in each box or case. Different manufacturers package their tiles differently, and boxes contain different amounts of tile depending on the size, shape, and material. Often, the amount of area that a case will cover is listed in the product description. To calculate the number of boxes you need, take the total square feet of the space and divide it by the number of square feet the box will cover.

Regardless of the material, basic square tiles will never go out of style. Neutral colors like white, grey, beige, and black will always be in demand in residential and commercial settings. Certain designs, like herringbone and hexagonal patterns, are considered timeless. Porcelain and porcelain-like tiles will also never go out of style.

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.

You can attach tiles to a wall using thin-set mortar. You’ll also need a notched trowel to create grooves within the adhesive so it flattens completely when pressed in and securely holds the wall tiles. Finally, you’ll need grout to smooth the gaps between the tiles and, ideally, a grout sealer to prevent mold. While it sounds simple enough, proper planning and execution are crucial, so carefully review the steps in this guide or hire a pro tile installer to complete this project.
