"Awesome Job and very Professional. I had a previous pond builder do a terrible job even installed a used pump(no warranty). John came out and tried to repair my pump and but had to replace it with a new one after the clean out. He did such a great job they even found fish hiding I thought were dead and gone. My pond looks amazing once again and the fish are much happier. Thanks patriotic ponds. See you soon."

"Smith Restoration has proven to be my family's "go to" company for all of our repair and restoration needs. They just finished a basement demolition for us and the work was above and beyond what we had expected. We are in the process of major remediation from a flood and also mold damage and Smith Restoration has been an invaluable asset during the project. We have already asked him to come back once the mold remediation company is finished to work on renovations. We have found Mr. Smith to be honest and fair in his estimates and pricing and firmly committed to excellent service. It is rare to find this type of commitment to quality and it is greatly appreciated."

"Jose came to our house, gave us an estimate and started to work immediately. He worked well past dark and returned the next day to finish the job. I WILL be using him again on a full time basis. He is dependable, courteous, and his work is outstanding. Our yard has never looked better. Thank you for recommending his service. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great looking yard. Fountains questions, answered by experts

In short, yes, a pond can add to your home’s value. However, whether it adds value will depend on the condition and aesthetic of your pond. Having this feature already built into a yard’s home can be appealing to homebuyers who value its aesthetic and would prefer not to build it themselves. But if it is not kept in good condition, it could turn buyers away.

One reason you may want to fill in your pond is the cost of maintenance. Pond cleaning may cost about $1,000 for an annual cleanup, or monthly visits may cost $75 to $100 per visit. If you don’t want to spend that much per year on pond upkeep, you may consider filling in your pond.

Seeps and springs form when groundwater reaches the earth’s surface. The main differences between them are the amount of water and the flow rate. Seeps are smaller than springs and consist of water that’s stagnant or flows slowly. Springs contain more water and flow more quickly.

Even if you empty your pond before the winter, there’s a good chance it will refill naturally. It’s ideal in most cases, then, to leave water in your pond and winterize it instead. This method will prevent ice damage and protect wildlife. Plus, it’ll lessen the steps required to reopen your pond in the spring.

Placing your water feature in direct sun can speed up evaporation, leading to pump damage and algae growth. Shade or partial shade serves as the ideal location for most water features—just watch out for tree and plant debris that may fall in and clog the pump.
