"Dennis was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job installing a new pump on an existing waterfall and redesigning the stone feature. Would highly recommend him."

"Excellent experience! From the first meeting with Lock and the decision to rebuild my 18 year old pond and waterfall, everything went smoothly and in a timely manner. Lock has a great skill for vision and design. Lock was excellent with communication all along the way. I knew almost to the minute when the supplies would be delivered and when Lock and his crew would arrive for the rebuild. I was scheduled on a day that worked for me, which I really appreciated. Lock and his crew worked tirelessly for 12 hours to complete my project in one day, and it is better than I expected. At completion of my project, the water was flowing and splashing down the falls. The surrounding area looked so natural and perfect in my backyard. Clean up was great! I am very happy with Beholder Aquatics and happy to recommend them to anyone who wants a water feature of any size or design. You won't be disappointed!"

"From Blight to Masterpiece. My front was mostly weeds; had numerous bare spots from tree and bush removal, and exposed tree roots from erosion. His crew removed the weeds, filled in the bare spots, and almost all of the tree roots. I also had slate stepping stones that were unearthed and laid back on an even surface. My lawn has been transformed 1000%."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Regular water testing, debris removal, and seasonal maintenance ensure healthy water quality.

Small ponds can be drained and filled in about a day. Larger ponds will take two or three days for professional removal.

Whether a natural pool is worth it depends on several factors because they cost more than traditional pools. Many people opt for natural pools because they enjoy swimming in natural bodies of water such as lakes. Also, if you're environmentally conscious, a natural pool is going to be a much more attractive option than a traditional pool.

Moreover, for people with chemical sensitivities, a natural pool is a great solution since the water doesn’t contain chlorine.

When deciding whether or not to turn off your pump, you should consider your area’s climate and the aquatic life in your pond. If you live in an area with freezing winter temperatures and don’t have any wildlife, keeping your pump on could damage it. If you have aquatic life but live in a colder climate, you might consider keeping your pump running and adding a pond heater.

Even if you empty your pond before the winter, there’s a good chance it will refill naturally. It’s ideal in most cases, then, to leave water in your pond and winterize it instead. This method will prevent ice damage and protect wildlife. Plus, it’ll lessen the steps required to reopen your pond in the spring.
