"I would like to highly recommend U.S. Construction and Renovation. We hired Alexander based on the great reviews and let me tell you something...he did not disappoint! The level of professionalism and customer service is superb. We hired Alexander mainly for interior painting, wallpaper removal, ceiling, and more. We now love our home even more after seeing the great results. I was also impressed with the level of detail he puts on taking care of furniture, hardwoods, and carpets to ensure a hassle-free paint job. I got quality service, great customer service, and value for our money!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Oak Street Painting is a great business! I needed interior home and bathroom painting. Dallas Castellani was efficient, thorough, great to work with and my master bedroom, bath and guest bathroom have a whole new look and feel. I was very pleased with the work and the time it took him to complete the job. My rooms feel crisp, uplifting and precise! I highly recommend this company!"

"Reinalto is a complete professional. He called right away when I left a contact request for him, gave me a very fair estimate for the work I needed done, and then showed up with the right equipment and tools to do the work: powerwash the entire house, powerwash and restain my wooden deck w/rails, strip wallpaper and a ginormous floor to ceiling mirror from an accent wall in my dining room area, strip wallpaper and repaint my entire masterbath, including the ceiling and cabinets. He retrieved exactly the paint colors I requested, and then checked in with me again to make sure I liked it as he began to paint the walls. In fact, he checks in at regular intervals to have the customer assess how things are going so far and as well as at the end to ensure one is completely satisfied with the work being done. I'm definitely going to hire him again for some other painting projects and highly recommend you do the same. You won't be disappointed!!!"

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

If you recently splashed paint on the wrong area of a wooden object, remove it with a solvent or caustic paint stripper. Some paint that has yet to dry may be removable by hand with coarse sandpaper or a plastic scraper. Another trick for removing dried-on paint is rubbing a dab of nail polish remover on the paint to remove it, but avoid touching the bare wood surface.

Costs depend on paint type, surface condition, labor, and required prep work for repainting.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

Some homeowners have luck using pressure washers, but this only works for old or weaker concrete sealants and with very powerful pressure washers. You’ll get better results by pressure washing water-based sealants. However, it’s worth trying on any sealant if you’re hoping for the least toxic, least expensive, and most DIY-friendly option. To try this method, rent or buy the most powerful pressure washer you can find and take several passes at the concrete, completely pressure washing the entire area. You may need to repeat the process multiple times to see results.
