Job day: mid-day, landscaper reports dumpster was a no-show, that Andre misunderstood instructions. How? My instructions were clear and in text, for easy reference. I contacted Andre; he's trying to get truck to deliver dumpster before landscaper's extended deadline (1pm). Next contact with Andre got weird; no initial response when I asked if dumpster would be there before 1pm and expressed concern about rescheduling increasing landscaper's fee. Some confusing, frustrating texts followed before determining I'd have to reschedule. Andre then asked "How much was I charging you for it?" (not to go down another rabbit hole, but I'd reckon he should have a record of that?). I also thought maybe he'd work with me on the cost to offset part of the landscaper's penalty. A couple more texts about price match versus military discount, more confusion. Later that evening, he responded that the average cost is $325 and up, so I assumed he wouldn't honor the original price agreement of $200 (interestingly, despite the coupon they offer for $199, which includes labor and hauling?). I was surprised when I received no response to my negative review; I started contacting other providers. However, the day prior to final pick-up date, Andre called me to confirm, said I was still on the schedule. He honored the original deal and had the dumpster delivered the same evening, to ensure landscaper had it available as soon as he arrived the following morning. What started out shaky ended up working well, and I am grateful."
