SIG Skylights makes quality insulated glass skylights suitable for residential or business purposes, including plastic skylight replacement. We supply skylights to contractors as a roofing supply as well as to homeowners. We manufacture self-flashing, deck mount skylights to install on the roof deck, and curb mount skylights, to fit over an existing curb. Both have tinted, tempered insulated glass for outstanding clarity, energy efficiency, and durability. Our deck mount skylights have an extra wide flange which is designed to make installation simple and leak-free, with NO flashing kits. None of our skylight frames are made with wood or plastic which can rot or degrade with water and light. The frames are 100% solid, welded, high grade aluminum, which lasts a lifetime! They have a limited lifetime warranty. We specialize in Custom Skylight Manufacturing of unique sizes and shapes, including multiple opening skylights, that expand the possibilities of architectural designs while simplifying installation for the contractor. Other options available include operable (opening) skylights and low-e glass or solar reflective glass. At SIG Skylights, we strive to provide outstanding customer service. We are generally able to give same day quotes over the phone. We will assist the contractor or homeowner with the selection of the type and size of skylight needed, as well as answering many installation questions. Just call us at the phone number listed above. Or stop in for a visit!

Construction company focusing on high quality renovations but we do all work no job is to big or small

"Well I contacted Rob about a house I was looking to buy and renovate. He met with me, was super nice, took down everything I wanted to do, etc. I then paid him $150 for a proposal. That’s where the problems started. Although he set the deadline himself, I kept hearing ‘tomorrow, tomorrow’ when I would ask for an update. Finally got it back. It was a pretty vague list of things and rough prices attached (ex. just “floors - $X” - not “hardwood in middle bedroom,” “tile in the kitchen,” and so on) and a shoddy drawing of a layout with hardly any detail and certainly not drawn to scale. Maybe my expectations were off there. But I want a little more than that before I go take out a loan and hire you to do a $100K job, amirite? But whatever, whatever - put that aside. It comes down to when I’m going to have to make a decision, need to get him approved by my bank... POOF. GONE. Radio silence. Won’t answer calls. Won’t answer texts. Won’t answer emails. I said he could just let me know if he didn’t want to take this on, etc. Just nothing. Strange way to run a business. Especially when the job you want people to hire you for is usually time sensitive and requires excellent communication. Honestly, I hope he’s okay and if I hear otherwise, I’ll consider removing this. But without more information, I wanted to give an honest review and give folks a heads up that this could happen again."

Skylights questions, answered by experts

Yes, reputable manufacturers typically provide warranties for their roof windows and skylights, and many installers also offer a labor warranty, although labor warranties often don’t last as long as the manufacturer’s warranty. A warranty from a skylight manufacturer is helpful in the event of leaks or other damage down the road on this type of home feature. The length of time and the terms of the warranty may vary, so it's important to review the details before making a purchase.

It is possible to install a skylight as a DIY project, but we don’t recommend it. Skylights are the most likely type of window to leak, given their more horizontal position on the roof, which means any mistakes during the installation could lead to massive water damage and high repair costs down the road. Hiring a professional to install your skylights is an additional expense, but the long-term cost is usually higher if you DIY, as you could need replacement sooner, and you’re more likely to run into water damage.

Yes, you can replace a skylight without changing the entire roof—if the roof is in good shape. First, you need to make sure the roof around the skylight is intact and free of damage. Quality installation is crucial to prevent leaks, including replacing the flashing, which seals the skylight to the roof. While replacing the skylight alone is doable, it can make sense to replace both at once to streamline the work, coordinate the warranties, and reduce the risk of future leaks. If you’re unsure, reach out to a professional for help in deciding the best approach.

Yes, if you have ventilated skylights, you can install insect screens on them. Insect screens for skylights cost $10 to $50 each, depending on their size and quality. Most pros highly recommend insect screens for ventilated skylights because they keep pests outside of your home while allowing fresh air inside.

DIY is possible for small leaks or resealing. Professional services ensure proper sealing and structural integrity.
