"Ben and Dave were great to work with, and Kieran did an excellent job with our siding repair. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and open about what needed to be done and gave us a quote that was reasonable for our financial standpoint. They responded well via email, text, or phone call on any questions or concerns we had. We will definitely recommend Northmen Exteriors to our friends and neighbors."

"Francisco was very professional and had great suggestions. He replaced and repaired stucco on our house, then painted the entire house a new color. He suggested gutters, which we are going to have him install as well. Francisco also had referrals for other contractors for other work we want completed. His prices are very fair and reasonable. My husband and I would highly recommend this company! Below are before and after pictures. The blue is the finished product."

Small jobs welcome

"All American Energy was one of the companies that came over to gave me an estimate for a radiant barrier installation. Their estimate was excellent, and Jeff, the salesmen, was knowledgeable and great to work with. The two installers came on time, did a clean install and were very polite. The job went very smoothly with on issues. I highly recommend them."

"They were efficient, and very easy to deal with. They did the entire job in one day, which included new skirting, washing, installing new downspouts and new hardware on awnings that needed it, painting the mobile home white, and the trim dark green, and completely cleaning everything up when they were finished. The cost was unusually reasonable for all that work by 2 men for 10 hours. Mr. Osario even came back today to paint a couple of strips beneath my door that hadn't been done. One of my neighbors has already asked me for their info. I'm extremely pleased with the results. It looked really bad before. The mobile home park mgmt required the work to be done, but I would have done it anyway, because I'm putting it up for sale."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.

Basements are generally required to have windows for your safety. At a minimum, windows should provide an egress in the event of a fire. But basement windows do more than offer a way out; basement windows also offer natural light and ventilation in an area of your home that is otherwise dark and musty.

Most professionals can install a window well in two to three days, depending on the size of the well and the window you want inside it. If you’re just replacing an existing window well, the work is much less intensive, and most experts can get the job done in just one day. Connecting the window well to a drainage system or installing a custom concrete window well will naturally take longer, but even the most complicated installations shouldn’t take more than three days.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.
