"Ken Marcus, the technician who performed the work, was highly professional and courteous. He completed the work in the time frame promised, including the recommendation and installation of a germicidal unit inside the air handler. Ken indicated that the germicidal unit was 99.9% effective in the killing and removal of mold, spores and bacteria from the A/C system. This would be of great help in the improvement of air quality inside the home, as well as prolong system life. Ken cleaned up thoroughly when the job was completed."

"Fontana Brothers Heating and Air Conditioning installed a new 3 ton AC unit for me and did an excellent job. I had a freon/leak issue with the old unit and during the installation they went above and beyond to ensure that anything impacted from the leak was cleaned up, corrected, and properly insulated before installing the new unit. Pedro, Luis, Dan and Andre were very professional and kept me informed throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them."

"Options explored in detail & selection of unit was made by me. The proposal was sent out after an onsite inspection. Vendor identified that additional ductwork was not needed which another bidder was anxious to replace at a much higher cost. Terms and conditions were agreed upon in writing. Installation was performed the following week and an onsite inspection was made by a reliable source, since I could not do so myself from my home in Illinois. The service met and exceeded my expectations."

"He came over and inspected the system, outside and in and took the appropriate temperature readings. He removed the grate and removed my son's word cards returning them to me. He let me know my system was slowly aging, but in good condition. He was very professional and prompt. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. I asked for a new thermostat because I can tell it is off. He checked and said it was a few degrees off and asked what kind I wanted. I will be having him back shortly to install a new thermostat. Very trustworthy guy. Will be using again!

"I had a great experience with hometown heating and air. The gentleman who came out was professional and very knowledgeable. I appreciated how he was able to explain what was wrong with my unit and I was able to upgrade to a new duct system. This was done in a timely manner as well."

"I am happy about my choice to use Ierna's and I am extremely pleased with the results. Don explained my options and was able to work out a deal that included a few discounts and 0% financing. Josh and Kenny did a really excellent job on the installation. All three were professional, courteous, knowledgable, and went above and beyond to get the job done in a day. I highly recommend Ierna's for your heating and cooling needs."

"In November, they installed three new coils (out of six in the engine of my 2005 Nissan Murano)..
A couple of weeks ago, the engine began stalling intermittently while driving.  After a few days it stopped stalling, but began running rough off and on.  We had diagnostics done at a parts store, which was inconclusive.  This morning, my stepson replaced a few parts he thought might solve the problem, which made a material improvement, but did not solve the problem completely.  He also had another diagnostic done and this time it clearly indicated that coil 5 was defective.
We then took the car back to Coachman Automotie and told Frank about the diagnostic and that we did not know whether coil  5 was one of the ones previously replaced or not.  This probably was not the brightest approach, but I rembered the very positive reviews on Angie's List and the certificates of excellent service on the office wall..  He promised to check it, but probably would not be able to get to it for three to four hours. He called me in less than two hours and had it all done and that coil 5 was, indeed, one of those he had replaced and that there would be no charge for replacing it.  Had the coil not been one they installed in November the bill woulf probably have been the $1.200+ I had paid in November due to the replacement of related parts.
.I am no longer worried about the retirement of my previous mechanic, who was also excellent and honest.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

The cost-efficiency of baseboard heaters depends on the type and how you use them. Generally, standard electric baseboard heaters can be expensive to run because they use electric resistance heating, which is less energy-efficient than systems like forced-air or heat pumps. However, hydronic and gas versions are typically much cheaper to operate. Hydronic models are more energy-efficient because they heat a liquid that retains warmth longer, preventing the thermostat from turning on and off as often. The overall running cost is also influenced by local electricity rates, your home's insulation, and your usage habits. To increase efficiency, you can use baseboard heaters for zoning, meaning you only heat the specific rooms you are using.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.

Yes. In many cases, switching from an old furnace to a high-efficiency boiler can help you save money over time. You can also save money by switching from an electric boiler to a gas boiler, which costs much less compared to the energy bills an electric boil can create. Boilers are often (but not always) more efficient than furnaces, too. Then there are discounts, rebates, and incentives that can help you save on the initial costs.

Deciding whether or not to replace radiators with a different heating system depends on your personal preferences. Radiators can take longer to heat up than a central heating system, and they take up floor space. However, they can be very efficient at heating, and they keep rooms at a more comfortable humidity level in the winter than forced-air systems.

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.
