"I only needed a small 12 foot fence to protect my generator from heavy blowing rain, but Barbara treated me as if I were one of their most important customers. The fence looks terrific, the installers were all professional and courteous. I highly recommend Fence Central."

"Excellent customer service which is hard to find these days! Marty answered my call immediately. Marty Jr. came out 1st thing in am and repaired my fallen, heavy 6' wood fence. I am very happy and grateful for their kindness, service, quality and cost. I plan to hire them to replace current fence... extremely pleased with the estimate. Thank goodness for a company that actually cares about their business and appreciates the customer. There's not many of them left in my experience. I'll continue to stick with the winners like Marty Heid Fence. I highly recommend them!!"

"Jordan from Custom Fence did a great job in fixing my fence. He even had to fit it with new panels since my fence panels aren’t made anymore by anyone. He had the solutions and went with it. I would rehire again and recommend them for your fencing needs."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Your Westchase home is ideal for fencing if you need to secure a pool, define property boundaries, or create a safe area for children or pets. Homes with level yards and minimal mature landscaping are easier to fence. Always check HOA rules, property lines, and drainage patterns before starting. If your property has slopes, large trees, or utility easements, consult a local fencing professional for tailored recommendations.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Westchase often balance the appeal of privacy fences with the need for hurricane resilience. For example, choosing a solid wood privacy fence increases seclusion but may require reinforced posts and more frequent maintenance. Decorative features or mixed-material designs can enhance curb appeal but may increase wind resistance. HOA guidelines may limit fence height or style, so aligning personal preferences with neighborhood standards is crucial.

Helpful?

Fencing in Westchase requires regular upkeep due to high humidity and frequent storms. Vinyl and aluminum fences benefit from seasonal cleaning to prevent mildew and salt buildup. Wood fences need annual sealing and termite inspections, while chain link fences require rust checks and tension adjustments after storms. Before hurricane season, inspect all fence posts and gates to ensure they’re secure and address any loose or damaged sections promptly.

Helpful?

Fencing projects in Westchase must address pool safety, pet containment, and privacy while complementing tropical landscaping and meeting HOA standards. Semi-private vinyl or aluminum panels can provide airflow and hurricane resistance. Strategic placement avoids disrupting irrigation or underground utilities. Many homeowners opt for decorative lattice tops or mixed materials to boost curb appeal, ensuring the fence remains durable and practical for Florida’s climate.

Helpful?

In Westchase, the longevity of fencing depends on using materials like powder-coated aluminum, vinyl, or pressure-treated wood that resist moisture and pests. Deep concrete footings are essential for stability in sandy soil. Proper wind-load engineering, especially for privacy fences, helps withstand hurricane conditions. Ensuring posts are set below the frost line and accounting for local drainage patterns also greatly improves the lifespan of your fence.
