"Lush Landscaping crew did a great job. Removed the frost damaged trees from the winter cold snap and installed beautiful and healthy replacements. The landscape beds also turned out great with filter cloth carefully placed around existing ground cover before rock was added. Cost for the job was very reasonable. Would highly recommend."

"I hired Cove from watching then complete a bridge and driveway(s) repair. I couldn't believe how well the project turned out and how well they remain years later. When my driveway needed repair, I immediately thought of Cove. Juan analyzed the origin of the problem and his crew of professional, polite workers, completed the job quickly and actually went beyond the expected amount of work. The finished project is beautiful and our erosion problem has been solved. Juan is a pleasure to work with and he and his crew go beyond what is expected to please the customer. I would rate him many more stars if I could and I highly recommend him for any concrete work!"

"Win Tech just completed a roughly 3 day project for me. I initially called them to 'clean up' my plants/shrubs/trees - but after talking to Brian I asked them to go farther. As a fairly recently divorced woman living alone - my property had started to slide. Brian's vision and his amazing team of workers took over and totally brought my property back to life!! Everything from the original trimming I had called them about - to resealing my driveway, fixing/cleaning my fountain and putting in all new brick borders that perfectly matched my house color. It looks amazing! He did many 'extra' touches that meant a lot too - including adding a palm to my beach area, adding some sod and fixing my lanai door (that always clunked). Brian has a great eye for detail and knows just how to handle a project. I will definitely call them again - and highly recommend them..."

"I recently hired Pave USA for a concrete driveway installation at my property in West Palm Beach, and I am beyond impressed with the results. From start to finish, the team provided outstanding service, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. First off, the customer service was top-notch. The team was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions during the initial consultation. They helped me choose the best concrete option for my driveway, explaining the benefits and different finishes available. When it came to the actual work, Pave USA exceeded all my expectations. The crew arrived on time, were incredibly efficient, and paid attention to every detail. They prepped the site thoroughly, ensuring a solid foundation and the finished product is smooth, level, and looks fantastic. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and it’s clear they used high-quality materials that will last for years to come. I also appreciated the team’s punctuality and cleanliness— they made sure to keep the work area tidy, and they were respectful of my property throughout the entire project. The job was completed on schedule, with minimal disruption, and at a very fair price considering the high level of service provided. If you’re in the West Palm Beach area and need concrete services, I highly recommend Pave USA. Their professionalism, skill, and dedication to customer satisfaction are unmatched. I’ll definitely be using them for any future concrete work!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you don’t need a permit to repave your driveway, although some exceptions exist. If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area. This permit costs between $50 and $300 in most cases. Most municipalities will also require a certified and insured contractor do the work relating to the apron and curb cut. You can contact your building department or ask your paving company if you need a permit. Your driveway professional will usually pull the permit for you.

Overall, a paver driveway is considered the easiest to maintain because homeowners are able to do driveway repair one piece at a time without impacting the rest of the driveway. Unlike paved options, paver driveways contain individual stones that aren't physically connected. By comparison, you may need to reseal or redo a full asphalt driveway if just one portion sustains a significant crack.

If you notice minor cosmetic problems with your driveway, you should seal it. Look out for cracks and holes on the surface, faded asphalt or concrete, and stains from oil and other chemicals. Replacing your driveway may be necessary if you’re dealing with significant problems—¼-inch cracks, large potholes, and puddles from drainage issues. The cost to install an asphalt driveway typically ranges between $4,200 and $9,000, significantly more than resealing. Consider talking to a professional to discuss whether resurfacing your driveway—a midway project between resealing and replacing—is a better option for you.

The material that’s best for your private road depends on your property, the climate in your area, and your personal preferences. Gravel is an affordable option, but some homeowners don’t like how it looks. It can be a pain to remove snow from, and it requires more ongoing maintenance than asphalt or concrete. However, while these other options require less maintenance and make snow removal a breeze, they’re more expensive and will need repairs from time to time. Ultimately, you’ll have to choose the road material that suits you and your property best.

Concrete is typically the best material for a driveway if you’re looking for longevity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance. But, it’s not ideal for areas with annual freeze-frost cycles, nor is it the most attractive option—although you can get it stamped or painted. If your location is consistently below freezing, asphalt may be a better choice.
