"Cesar responded to my request and quickly made an appointment for the same day to come and look at my project. I had to remove tile from a patio and then have it refinished with a decorative concrete overlay. Cesar provided an album of photos of prior jobs he had done and provided a very fair price for the project. We agreed to the price and Cesar said they could begin the job the following week. He called me later that evening and said he could begin the job the following day. Cesar and his crew arrived on time the following morning and began the demolition work. The crew cleaned up after themselves and did not allow debris to accumulate. By the end of the first work day, all of the old tile had been removed and the patio was resurfaced using a grinder. The initial layer of concrete was applied and allowed to dry and I was told they would return the following day. Once again, Cesar arrived with his crew on time and they worked on the next steps of the project. All of my questions were answered during the project and the layout of the overlay was started. When I asked that the stonelike sections of the layout be made smaller, the crew immediately followed my request. Once the layout was complete, it was allowed to dry over night and Cesar returned the following day and began to paint a sample section of the patio for approval of the colors. Cesar happily adjusted the colors to our request and continued to paint the sections. My wife and I had to leave for appointments and Cesar said he would finish the painting and allow it to dry and then he would seal the project. Throughout the entire project, the area was kept clean and upon completion, it was once again cleaned. I would highly recommend Cesar and PrepConcrete for your projects and we are currently considering another project in the front of our house. Fair Price Work Done Ahead of Schedule Beautiful new Patio!"

"Manny was reliable, professional and did an amazing job!! He took initiative and went above and beyond by meeting me at the tile store as well as picking up the materials- saving me delivery fees... the work he did was flawless and meticulous...with attention to detail. He was punctual and completed the job in a timely fashion. In a world where Contractors and subcontractors continually and consistently disappoint with excuses, no shows, and shoddy work, Manny was a breath of fresh air...his workmanship and skill is exceptional!"

"I chose S and S paving because, the entire process was explained step by step, the materials to be used, the quality of the asphalt to be used, how much asphalt and how high it would be poured as well as how it should be maintained afterwards. The work was preformed as promised and it looks grand and the liquid coating completes the process, best looking asphalt driveway in the neighborhood."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

In general, crack fillers last for about two years on average. That timeline can be shorter if you have extremely harsh winters or longer if you live in a mild climate. Luckily, this product is pretty affordable at the hardware store (about $10 to $30) and easy to DIY, so redoing it every few years shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

Regular sealing and cleaning to maintain appearance and functionality.

By reinforcing with fibers, sealing surfaces, and ensuring correct drainage.

Yes, you can grind concrete by hand, but it’s typically known as sanding concrete when done with a hand grinder. Additionally, you should only use this method if you’re working on a smaller area, like a countertop, rounding an edge, removing imperfections, or doing a spot repair versus a driveway or patio.

For thin driveway cracks that aren’t widening or lengthening, a polyurethane crack filler is usually the best way to seal the crack and prevent further damage from water and ice. If you have cracks that are more than ⅛-inch wide or driveway cracks that continue to grow, you should call in a professional driveway repair company to fix underlying problems—like insufficient support from the soil underneath—before filling in the cracks. An epoxy sealant is a better option for wider cracks after the surface is leveled and the underlying problem is fixed.
