"I have an 80 year old house with solid white oak flooring that TPA Hardwood restored back to their glory days. We had termite and water damaged areas that Mr. RIOS and his crew were able to replace perfectly with the rest of the house. They were on time and very professional and they kept me informed thru out the scope of the work till the very end. They went above and beyond, and we trusted Ed, with the house while we were away on vacation, and he treated like it was his own. The floors came out amazing!!!!! I highly recommend TPA Hardwood Flooring you will not regret it. Thank Ed"

"🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I recently hired 413 General Construction , LLC owned by Miguel Guevara to remodel our master bathroom after the damage caused by Hurricane Helene, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, his entire team—plumber, tiling professional, electrician, painter, and helpers—went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Each member of the team was not only skilled but also incredibly professional and respectful. They communicated clearly and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is outstanding! Every detail was meticulously handled, from the plumbing to the beautiful tile work and stunning paint finish. Our bathroom looks like a dream come true! They completed the project on schedule, which was especially appreciated during such a stressful time. I highly recommend Miguel (413 General Construction) and his team for any remodeling needs. They truly care about their clients and deliver exceptional results. Thank you Miguel and team for transforming our space and making it feel like home again! Warm Regards, Karin and Rod"

Customers say: Quality work

"Travis was prompt to reach out when I requested quotes, he was equally prompt in coming to the house to provide a detailed estimate. Once I choose Yoder flooring he scheduled, arrived on time and performed the quoted services with detail, quality, at a good value. I requested cabinets being installed in the laundry room which he did to perfection. Expectations were exceeded, work area cleaned daily from debris. I recommend and will use Yoder flooring and Travis for any future projects that he can provide. Removed ceramic tile in laundry room installed new flooring, removed older vinyl flooring in bedroom install new flooring."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.

There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.

Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

The number of shower niches you need (or want) depends on the size of the shower and how many bathroom products you plan on storing. If you keep it simple with just soap and shampoo, the one shower niche will probably do the trick. But if you’re adding scrubs and soaks, you may need to think about installing two or more.
