Handyman By David

David remodeled my home from top to bottom! He painted the complete inside including doors and trim, did tile refinishing including the grout and he cleans up well after each days work! David is so skilled in many different areas, he is just phenomenal! He does absolutely excellent work at a very fair price!

He was very polite and very helpful for someone that is a disabled veteran widow.

I do not recommend Handyman by David. I had a very bad experience after hiring him. The job David was hired for was to install vinyl flooring in my home in different areas. He was to remove the carpet and reinstalled it in two bedrooms. He started the job on the 6th of May. He told me it would take 5 days to complete the job. He had problems from the start with the installation then told me it would take 2 weeks to complete. In my living room, all the planks were installed improperly and were not connected and snapped together as they should be. I asked him to call the company for advice since he was having so much trouble, but he did not. There was also a sheet enclosed in the boxes with instructions. He kept on installing even though he was having problems. Over the weekend my daughter came up I asked her if the flooring looked strange, she also noticed there seemed to be a problem. She agreed with me that I needed to have another flooring company come in and look at the floor. I had another company come in on the 13th of May for them to look at the flooring and they also advised it was incorrectly installed and would have to be removed and be replaced correctly. I sent David a message on the 12th of May that we needed to talk on the 14th when he came to the house. He wanted to know what was wrong and I informed him of the problem. He messaged me back and forth about having another chance to fix the problem. I advised him I would not reconsider having him come back. I told him I needed cash back from my deposit to him to buy new flooring to replace what he used. He advised me he did not have the $650 right now. He also informed me I could not hold his tools hostage and I told him I was not going to. He kept telling me in his messages he would get me the cash as soon as he could. When he came on the 14th of May to pick up his tools I asked if he would sign an IOU for the $650 and he told me yes, he would. My neighbor witnessed the IOU and signed it along with David and myself. He was to make the first payment of cash on June the 10th. On the 9th I sent him a message asking what time he was coming up on the 10th to pay me. I got no response from him. I sent him an additional message on the 11th and still no response from David. Then on the 15th of June sent him another message advising him that I was giving him until the 17th of June to contact me when he was going to pay me. Told him it was his last chance to contact me. If no payment was made, I was going to post a bad review on HomeAdvisor. and I was going to call HomeAdvisor. I have pictures and video to back up my claims of his bad installation of my flooring. As of today the 18th of June, I have not heard from David.

He cleans up after the work and is very knowledgeable.

David was always on time and his pricing was very fair. Did a great job of removing, replacing and regrouting damaged kitchen tile. Always cleaned up the work area. We are hiring him for another project.

Happy I found him on HomeAdvisor and I would recommend him to anyone I know. Very Professional.
