"Mike and his team were fantastic! I called on a Saturday and Mike came over that day to give me a quote. They came out on Wednesday and trimmed two of my large trees. They did an excellent job on the trees and cleaned up all the trimmings. I would definitely hire them again!"

"HI hired AAP to cut down three Queen Palms, and trim several other palms. While they were here they additionally cut down and trimmed some White Birds of Paradise and cut back a large bunch of Sea Grapes. They were so professional, nice, and did an outstanding job. They listened to my concerns about where the palms needed to fall, and did exactly as I asked. They took extra care to protect my yard, and did a great job on everything. The team AAP sent me are welcome back to my house anytime. I will definitely call them again."

"I recently had pet-friendly turf installed by Creative Edge. I am VERY happy with the entire process, from start to finish. The communication from the owner was terrific. The installers worked hard in the heat wave we were having. They were friendly, professional, and efficient. They cleaned up the entire area when they were done. The product is beautiful and looks real. I highly recommend this company!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

Trimming a rose bush is similar to cutting back your shrubs or other bushes.

First, you’ll start by removing old, damaged, or diseased branches from the base. Next, thin out the plant's interior by removing thin, weak branches. Finally, you’ll want to cut off buds where the leaves meet the stem.

Trim away using a 45-degree angle, as this will help with water runoff and promote new growth outward.

If debris from a tree located in a government-owned space (such as a sidewalk, public school, or government property) falls in your yard, it is the city’s or state government’s responsibility to have the debris cleaned up. On the other hand, most states only hold a neighbor liable for cleaning up their tree’s debris if they were negligent in caring for the tree.

Using a truck to remove a bush falls into the category of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” While it is possible to use a truck to pull out a bush, if you don’t have the right equipment, if you’re not familiar with attaching things to your vehicle correctly, or if you don’t have enough room, it’s a risky option. To prevent damage to your vehicle, it’s worth using tools made for the job of digging and cutting roots instead.

Don’t pick up dirt after aerating. Even though it's tempting because soil cores are incredibly unsightly, these cores and the dirt they leave behind are ecologically important. This is what keeps your grass looking beautiful and growing healthily. The soil cores need two to three weeks to decompose, but you can swat them with a rake if their natural shape bothers you.

If you have a large area of brush and vegetation to clear, forestry mulching may be the best option. This method works well for relatively flat areas that don’t have many large rocks or mature trees to clear. Forestry mulching is a relatively quick process that improves soil health, reduces fire risk, and leaves behind usable mulch.
