"I just had artificial grass installed by Creative Edge last week and I genuinely was and am thoroughly pleased with the end product. For the price and precision the project in how it was executed, I highly recommend this company. They were really pleasant and fair to work with—even cheaper than other competing companies but with an A result!"

"Job was very professional.  Mid-Florida rep Tom Conte was very prompt in the bid process.  Tree removal crew arrived as scheduled, on time, and with all necessary equipment.  I met with crew supervisor then left them at the house.  Job was completed in 1 day while I was at work, including cleaning up debris and stacking the requested firewood.  Tom came back by at the end of the day to inspect the job and to be sure I was completely satisfied.

"We feel very lucky to have found this company. Everything from start to finish exceeded our expectations. The consultation was very good. Able walked the yard with us and not only understood what we were trying to accomplish but helped guide us on areas we were uncertain about. He and his crew were prompt and professional. It was a very large job involving removal of multiple trees, some in difficult areas, grinding down all of the stumps, clearing large areas that were totally overgrown and re-using the higher quality hardwood chips as mulch. Not only did he and his crew complete all of this work in a day but when they left there was no mess left anywhere. It was totally cleaned up and the results were amazing. My husband and I keep staring out of our windows and smiling at the way our yard looks on all sides. We had no idea the backyard could look so good and allow so much sunlight to shine through. Needless to say, we are completely satisfied with every aspect of the job they did and would not hesitate to use them in the future for any of our needs that they cover.

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

Leaf removal, aeration, dethatching, mowing, pruning, and fertilizing are activities that prepare lawns for the next season.

Mature lilac bushes that are large and overgrown are more challenging to remove than small lilac bushes. Large lilac bushes have deeper roots that are more widespread, making it harder to dig them up and remove them. If you don’t dig under and around the primary roots, then you run the risk of the lilac bush growing back. So, it is a time-consuming process if done correctly.

You can leave grass clippings on the lawn, depending on their length. You don’t want to completely cover new grass and block it from sunlight, or encourage moss crowd out the more delicate grass. However, short clippings are usually fine to leave on the lawn. In some cases, they can be beneficial: Clippings can be a source of fertilizer and help protect the ground as young grass blades develop.

There are several ways to decompose yard waste quickly. The first step is to move all debris into a compost bin or pile. From there, microorganisms, bacteria, and insects will break down the yard waste into compost. To speed things up, shred the waste into smaller pieces, add live worms to the pile, or introduce nitrogen-rich compost accelerators like grass clippings, coffee grounds, and manure. Turn the compost over every few days. This process, called aerating, allows oxygen to get in and accelerate decomposition.

According to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, there are over 10,000 kinds of mushrooms, and some are harmful to both humans and animals. However, not all mushrooms are harmful—some feed on thatch and wood, which provides nutrients for grass and plants.

But unless you’re a mushroom expert (mycologist), it can be hard to tell poisonous mushrooms from non-poisonous. So if you have kids or pets (or both), removing them is the safest route to take.
