"After submitting my quote on homeadvisor, I immediately received a phone call from Tim who came out right away and provided a free estimate after almost an hour of diagnosing my electrical issue. Courteous, friendly and with reasonable pricing, he came out to complete the work the following work day and provided great, high quality work. Will definitely hire Smarthome Solutions for future electrical work."

"Today we had Jairo and Rene from ELEKRON ELECTRIC install a ground wire, which was not installed in my dryer. They install a ground wire and an electrical cord for my dryer which burned out because of faulty wiring in the past from another electrical company's electrian. They also installed an outside flood light, and a track light in the washer and dryer closet. These men where polite, clean, and professional I was impressed and satisfied with their work, I will call again ELEKRON ELECTRIC. Highly Recommend"

Customers say: Quick response

"This review is long overdue. Alejandro was amazing to work with. He re wired our electrical box and did other electrical work in our kitchen that a previous electrician did completely wrong. He always came when he said he would come, was very professional, and we felt completely safe with the work he completed. His knowledge and professional was a breath of fresh air, especially what we had been through prior to him. Almost 2 years later and his work is one of the only things from our house remodel we had absolutely no issues with. I wish we would ve had him from the beginning of the job but I m just thankful he was there to fix the job. On another occasion, we needed something fixed and he was able to come the same day. An electrician is someone you really need to trust and I 100% trust the work he did. Thanks Alejandro!!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The best place to put an electrical outlet depends on your needs. A good rule of thumb is to install outlets every 6 feet in large rooms. Hallways over 10 feet long need one electrical outlet minimum.

If you find yourself needing extra plug-ins for all of your gadgets, you may want to increase the number of electrical outlets in your room. When adding outlets, keep in mind that older homes could have outdated electrical panels. In these cases, you may need a pro to upgrade you from 100-amp to 200-amp service before increasing the power load.

Yes, pool pumps use a significant amount of electricity, making them one of the biggest energy consumers in a home. A pool pump can use up to three times as much electricity as a refrigerator. Typically, a residential pool pump consumes about 1 kilowatt-hour (kWh) for every hour it runs. Because pumps often need to run for about eight hours a day to properly filter the water, this can add up to an annual consumption of 3,000 to 5,000 kWh, which can cost between $480 and $800 per year based on average electricity rates.

The amount of electricity your pump uses depends on its size, energy efficiency, and daily run time. To lower your energy consumption, you can choose an energy-efficient or variable-speed pump, ensure it is correctly sized for your pool, and run it only for the minimum time required to keep the water clean.

Dehumidifiers typically use 300 to 700 watts of electricity per hour, whereas portable dehumidifiers use about 40 watts per hour. The exact amount of electricity your dehumidifier will generate depends on its capacity and energy efficiency. Generally, higher-capacity dehumidifiers generate more electricity than lower-capacity units, but they also usually have better energy efficiency over the long run.

Yes, the majority of appliances that run at 240v will work with a 220v outlet, but will often run slower and may have a slight delay in turning on. This could also cause long term damage to the appliance being used, so it’s recommended to always use the correct voltage for your appliance and upgrade to a 240v outlet if needed.

Type S or T fuses don’t require any special removal or installation tools. However, replacing a cartridge-style fuse is easier and safer when using a fuse-puller tool. All of these tools should be available anywhere you can buy fuses.
