"After submitting my quote on homeadvisor, I immediately received a phone call from Tim who came out right away and provided a free estimate after almost an hour of diagnosing my electrical issue. Courteous, friendly and with reasonable pricing, he came out to complete the work the following work day and provided great, high quality work. Will definitely hire Smarthome Solutions for future electrical work."

"Today we had Jairo and Rene from ELEKRON ELECTRIC install a ground wire, which was not installed in my dryer. They install a ground wire and an electrical cord for my dryer which burned out because of faulty wiring in the past from another electrical company's electrian. They also installed an outside flood light, and a track light in the washer and dryer closet. These men where polite, clean, and professional I was impressed and satisfied with their work, I will call again ELEKRON ELECTRIC. Highly Recommend"

"We recently had extensive electrical work completed in our mother’s home, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. The project included rewiring, installing ceiling fans (including relocating one to a new location), installing two new light fixtures in our stairwell, updating all switches and outlets throughout the home, and adding an outdoor outlet on our balcony. From beginning to end, the service was exceptional. Alex was consistently punctual, professional, courteous, and highly knowledgeable. Every aspect of the work was completed with great attention to detail and precision, and the quality of craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. Alex is dependable, highly skilled, and respectful. We will absolutely continue to rely on him for any future electrical needs and would confidently recommend him to anyone seeking high-quality electrical services."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Coconut Creek, consider scheduling electrical work if your panel is over 25 years old, you experience frequent breaker trips during peak AC use, or outlets lack GFCI protection in kitchens, baths, or outdoor areas. Aluminum wiring, visible corrosion, or a burning smell are urgent signs. The best time for electrical projects is between November and March, before hurricane season or major home updates, to ensure safety and code compliance.

Helpful?

In Coconut Creek, panel upgrades typically require one to two days, while whole-house rewiring for a standard home can take three to five days. Installing GFCI outlets or replacing ceiling fans usually takes just a few hours. Pool electrical work may last one to three days, depending on complexity. Keep in mind, permit processing and weather delays—especially during hurricane season—can extend electrical project timelines.

Helpful?

In Coconut Creek, persistent flickering lights during humid weather, rust or moisture buildup inside electrical panels, and outlets that feel hot or emit a faint buzzing are warning signs. Homes with aluminum wiring or outdated circuit breakers are especially at risk, as Florida’s coastal climate accelerates corrosion. If you notice frequent GFCI trips after storms or a persistent burning odor, schedule a home electrical repair promptly.

Helpful?

In Coconut Creek, pool pumps, outdoor lighting, and landscape circuits often need attention due to high humidity and salt air exposure. Main electrical panels in older homes can struggle with today’s appliance loads, especially during AC season. Kitchens and bathrooms, where moisture is common, frequently require GFCI outlet upgrades. Garages and patios with exposed wiring are also prone to issues, making regular inspections by an electrician essential.

Helpful?

Many Coconut Creek homes use concrete block construction, which makes running new wiring more challenging and time-consuming. Flat or low-pitched roofs can limit attic access for electricians, while terrazzo or tile floors complicate under-floor wiring. Stucco exteriors may require extra care for outdoor electrical installations. If your home has a pool or an open floor plan, creative planning is often needed for safe, code-compliant electrical work.
