"Great service from John Barnes Window Tinting. John came out for the estimate and gave us a lot of information about window tinting and recommended the best film for our window needs. John’s pricing was very good compared to other companies we got estimates from. His installer was great. He is obviously has a lot of experience and did an excellent Job on the windows. He left my home as clean as he found it. We are extremely satisfied with our purchase and the service."

"Excellent workmanship and products I have had three installations with Power in the past two years. I first used them for a new roof and gutters. The workers were all knowledgeable in their area of work. Clean up was good although some nails kept showing up over time. Next I had the 2nd floor windows and some 1st floor windows replaced, 9 in total. Installation went well and they cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I love the windows! They are a beautiful and energy efficient product. Lastly, I recently had a bay window replaced in my kitchen with the same type window. The workers ere all friendly and explained what would be done. The area was draped with plastic to cut down on dust. Clean up was excellent inside and outside! The window is beautiful and the framing on the outside of the window matches the other windows and the small roof above the bay window was replaced with the same roofing as the rest of the house. I would choose them again for any future projects."

Windows questions, answered by experts

In Palm Beach, replacing a single window typically takes 2–4 hours, while a full home installation may require 1–3 days. Custom impact windows often need 4–8 weeks for manufacturing. Permit approval usually takes 2–4 weeks. If your project involves storm damage repairs, timelines may extend, especially during hurricane season or periods of high demand, so plan accordingly to avoid delays.

Helpful?

Completing a window service project in Palm Beach offers immediate benefits like improved energy efficiency, enhanced storm protection, and better indoor comfort. Over time, you’ll enjoy increased property value, lower maintenance from impact-resistant windows, and potential insurance savings. Quality windows also help prevent mold and corrosion caused by salt air, making your home more resilient and attractive in Palm Beach’s coastal climate.

Helpful?

When hiring window service professionals in Palm Beach, choose those experienced with local hurricane codes and familiar with salt air corrosion prevention. Look for contractors who understand HOA requirements common in coastal communities and who provide written warranties. Prioritize pros with strong local references and a physical presence in Palm Beach, and avoid anyone requesting full payment before work begins.

Helpful?

Before starting a window service project in Palm Beach, confirm whether permits are needed for your specific property type and check with your HOA for any restrictions on window style, tint, or frame color. Ensure your new or replacement windows meet local impact and energy efficiency standards, especially for hurricane protection. Schedule work outside hurricane season and verify your contractor’s insurance and experience with coastal conditions.

Helpful?

In Palm Beach, address window projects right away if you notice cracked glass, moisture between panes, or difficulty locking windows, as these issues can compromise storm protection and energy efficiency. If your windows are simply outdated but functional, you can plan upgrades for the dry season. Consider the area’s high humidity and salt air, which can accelerate window deterioration, when deciding on project timing.
