"I interviewed close to 10 companies to have hurricane windows installed at my townhouse. I have 5 windows and 2 sliding glass doors that needed replacement. Many of the companies that came out wanted to do a 2 hour presentation on their windows and a strong sales pitch. He helped me select strong 9/16” windows with visible transmission of 60% (thus, the outside from inside looks bright) while the solar heat gain was limited to 32% (thus, the house is protected from excessive heat). The windows are rated for +90 and -90 pressure, which is well above the Miami Dade guidelines. The doors are strong and aesthetic.
