I was duped into believing by some reviewers here that Mr. Kristoff does the work himself as they talked about European craftsmanship . I learned that he is basically a supervisor/ business owner who shows up for an hour or so per day and hires South American skilled and unskilled laborers to do the work. While he said that his company is insured, I am skeptical if his insurance would have covered the people who actually worked, who he barely knew and were more likely hourly contract laborers. While most other people I contacted were willing to take off and install baseboards, Mr. Kristoff is only a and quot;tile guyand quot; , quoting him. Coordinating different people can be hard if you have a time frame to work with in an office setting.
He indicated that the tiles were not of the highest quality even though they were Italian and perhaps uneven but he did not make much effort to see that the floor is even and not saggy. I would not hire him again.
