Warranties offered

"OUTSTANDING performance by James Hoff and the All Phaze crew. They could not have done a better job. The quality and competence of the work was obvious, and their prices were fair, competitive, and "all-inclusive"... in other words, there were no 'hidden charges' or other phony price add-ons. We got what James promised we would get, for the price he promised; and nowadays that's saying something. When cold or rainy weather caused a delay in the work, there was never any doubt that James and his team would return and perform with no loss of skill or motivation. Everyone with All Phaze was friendly, professional and attentive at all times. They answered every question and made excellent on-site suggestions for the project. We will definitely hire All Phaze again, and have already started talking with James about future projects. Looking forward to working with them again!"

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Each design is different, so we can’t say definitively if you’ll need a dedicated drainage system in place for a two-foot retaining wall. However, you can likely skip the drainage, as this project is typically served for walls that are 4 feet tall or more. Even with a relatively low wall, consider drainage if you are building on top of clay or poor-draining soil types or if there are buried water sources nearby, like a well used for other outdoor garden projects.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

Regular inspection for issues like cracks or leaning and ensuring drainage stays clear.

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

Most railroad tie retaining walls have a life span of 20 to 30 years, though you may need to replace your wall sooner if it’s repeatedly exposed to heavy rain, runoff, and excess moisture. Railroad ties are typically treated with creosote, which makes them much more durable than untreated wood. Though they last longer, they don’t last forever. For the most longevity, make sure your retaining wall has a sturdy base and steel reinforcements. You should also install drainage to direct water away from the wall.
