"Jamal & Winston Did The Repair flawlessly. Jamal did the texturing & painting to perfection. Both men were courteous & professional. Jamal went above & beyond by washing the windows involved & helped put the draperies back up. I wouldn't hesitate to hire this company again & will gladly recommend them to others. Thank you!"

"Hired Sam for some drywall repair after having my home re-plumbed. I had about 10 holes in my walls from running new plumbing. Sam did exceptional work on my repairs, holes fixed in basically one day. Came in the next morning and painted the repairs, I can not tell they were ever there! He was prompt, courteous, and professional! I might add his price was very reasonable! I highly recommend Paris Painting!"

Customers say: True professional

"It went well. Curdy was very pleasant and personable. He was able to get my very old, 1982, door to slide easily again. He removed the door and fixed glass, cleaned the areas thoroughly, adjusted the rollers down into the correct position and returned everything back where it belonged. Now the door slides evenly with one hand. Of course it doesn’t slide like a new door, however this repair didn’t cost what a new door replacement would have cost and I’m sure will last me for many, many years. Should I find myself in need of a handyman again, I will definitely give Curdy a call."

"I highly recommend Delta Drywall. In October, my home was struck by a tornado caused by Hurricane Milton. I needed extensive repairs — a new roof, windows, drywall, paint, and more. Victor and his team were incredible from start to finish. Their pricing was fair, their worksite was extremely clean, and their craftsmanship was top-notch. They built new walls, textured them perfectly to match the existing ones, and repainted everything flawlessly. My ceilings are 22 feet high, which required scaffolding, but they handled it all with professionalism and ease. I couldn’t be more grateful for the quality of their work and the respect they showed for my home throughout the process."

"Gery is a stand up guy who takes pride in his work. Had him mud to finish two full bathroom, couple walls and a couple ceilings. Was on time, got the job done, didn’t beat me up on price, and most importantly had a great attitude. I’d recommend him fully"

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

While vinyl is the least costly material for building a retaining wall, the most cost-effective method is to use wood or concrete blocks for a DIY retaining wall under 2 feet tall. Wood is inexpensive but lasts 20 years or more with care. Concrete can cost a little more but is stronger and will last longer with less maintenance.

Failure to compact the soil during construction is the most common cause of leaning retaining walls. In addition, poor drainage can lead to excessive water pressure behind a retaining wall, pushing against it until it begins to move forward away from the soil it is holding back.

Generally, a railroad tie retaining wall consisting of a single line of ties should be between 3 and 4 feet tall—and the height often tops out at around 6 feet. You can go taller, but you may need additional footings and reinforcements, including a second layer of railroad ties to support the added weight of the soil it’s holding back.

Regular inspection for issues like cracks or leaning and ensuring drainage stays clear.
