"Larry came on time for his estimate appointment and each painting day. Larry and John were very concerned about my wishes; took extreme care of my furnishings. All patchwork was done prior to painting. Livingroom, dininrg room, foyer, staircase and hall all painted beautifully and with 3 coats. Highly recommend."

"Dan shows up on time...he does not complain about the little items I give him and he always does everything with a smile.  If he does not know how to approach a task, he will do the research and find out.  I cannot say enough good things about this man.  Again, he is very fair and extremely professional and I am happy to have found him on this site.

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

To make the gazebo accessible, you can build a wheelchair pathway leading up to it. The path should be paved with a smooth surface for wheelchairs to roll through. A low curb should be placed along each side to ensure the wheelchair stays on the path. At the end of the path, build a wheelchair ramp connecting the gazebo.

On average, building or installing a gazebo costs around $5,700, with a typical range between $3,000 and $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. Material choice is a significant cost driver; for example, brick is often more affordable, while metal can be one of the more expensive options. Square-shaped gazebos can also be more expensive to build. Custom features, such as built-in seating or lighting, will increase the total price. You may be able to save money by purchasing a prefabricated gazebo kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

Log cabins are relatively difficult to maintain compared to a traditional house. That’s because log cabins require regular upkeep and care that can include refinishing and corncob blasting, a process similar to sandblasting that shoots ground-up corncob with compressed air.

Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:

  • Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.

  • Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.

  • Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.

  • Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.

Clean regularly, seal wood surfaces, and inspect for damage or rust to ensure longevity and safety.
