Fernando and his crew did an excellent job on remodeling my home. They were punctual, kept us informed, and flexible as we made some minor changes along the way. Their attention to detail was on point and took time on all small details. They covered our existing furniture to ensure it was not damaged and removed any debris each day. He is a pro and time and time we go to him for other projects. He keeps up to the schedule and does not leave you wondering like other contractors. Highly recommend him and his crew. You will not be disappointed.

The tradesmen that we were assigned from OCA Tile Services were excellent. They were very courteous, very clean and very meticulous regarding the job they were hired to do. The first job was a floor installation on the entire first floor of a newly constructed home. Any imperfect or questionable areas were redone without argument. The finished floor is beautiful. We also hired OCA to do lighting, which included adding and moving receptacles and patching holes in the ceiling. We could not be happier with the work. We plan to hire OCA again to do more extensive work in our home.

There were two 1950 bathrooms that we wanted to completely renovate. We started with another contractor that was awful and was terminated. We knew it would be difficult to find a contractor that would finish the other contractors work and correct their mistakes. Fernando graciously took on the task and, lucky for us, found many mistakes. He handled the obstacles quickly and tirelessly without complaint. The two bathrooms came out beautiful with large format ceramic tiles. We were so impressed with his work that we continued with other projects in the house including interior and exterior repainting, carpentry, and general repair of some messy areas that we were leaving for another day. He was present to review the work of his crew almost every day and his crews were friendly, respectful, and cleaned up after their work. His proposals were fair but at the upper range of the proposals we received. (I have found looking for the lowest price can lead to disaster). His invoicing was timely and detailed. The only drawback is his workers are Brazilian and some only speak Portuguese. This may lead to lead to communication issues at times. Learned to use Google translator and it is was very helpful with English to Portuguese.

This review is long overdue. Fernando and his team did an exceptional job installing 1500 s.f. of white porcelain tile. It’s so much more difficult when people are living in the space, but Oca made it happen with the least amount of disruption. They took great care reinstalling the baseboards and I think they went above and beyond to ensure that the floor looked like glass when they were done. We had a few fix requests and they were promptly handled without any negativity. Oca Construction was efficient and every one of the crew was respectful of us and our property. I will be hiring them again.

BEWARE!!! I hired Fernando as my General Contractor,. I asked for his licences many times. He has still never gave it to me. My Architect tried to look it up and could not find it under his name or the business name or anyone listed at in the business. Fernando was on site for the first 2 weeks and no longer to be seen only his Subs who I could not communicate with. Poor Tile work: Bathroom tile with visible cracking (used a dull blade) Lots of crooked tile, Put a long linear drain in the middle of the shower. (will cost me thousands of $ to redo) TOOK DOWN A STRUCTURAL WALL AND SAID IT WAS SAFE. IT WAS NOT. Had an engineer look at it and is now having to be redone. Never finished or did the paint work correctly. Crown moldings needing a second coat. Tons of Caulking never done or done poorly. Plaster work never completed. Tons of paint on the newly redone floors (no touch up paint to match or paint colors to go by) Poor/lazy electrical work. Fernando's electrician left outlets loose with no covers placed back, some light switches were working prior to his work and now are not. Fernando's crew did 80% of the work and then disappeared. except he did send someone to complete some of the work 2 months later. It was one person for a half day.

They did an excellent job installing large format tile in harringbobone pattern. Was quoted 2 weeks and they finished in 4 days. He hired extra crew and they worked hard every day.

After not masking off our house that great, the demo of our marble floors was very messy, where even the rooms upstairs for very dusty. They did a nice job laying our 4x4 porcelain tile, however there was a lot of confusion on the finish led product. The quart we got for our island measured out and verified what we were getting, after .two weeks of waiting for it they had it to small, smaller then our original island. So we had to wait additional time for a new one and pay more money because w ended more cabinets to hold it. Baseboards we removed and damaged, and after quoting us for baseboards they were installed however not caulked or painted - that’s additional. They also didn’t end up doing our plumbing for the sink or anything do event tho they removed it we had to find someone to get it going. A job that was quoted as a 5 day project - we are plan out a month in and our house still isn’t done and I don’t think the will be finishing it either.

"Contracted work: "Removal of marble, new floors kitchen island and cabinets." 3 days of demolition, "all furnitures" were removed to the garage and covered with plastic and paper. It was explained to the customer that there is no removing approximately 1k sqf of marble with mudset without having a minimum of dust. The client was not at the house these days, a family member accompanying the work, where he had no problem. ASAP, a member of my team, was sent twice to clean the 2nd floor / office. According to messages, approved by the client. - Kitchen Island, the measure was correct, the client signed the contract and paid Invoice with the approved measures, when the Island was installed, the client saw it and found it small, we entered into an agreement, my company bought two more Slab and the client paid only for the extra cabinet. - Installation of Porcelain 48x48, it was perfect, but a porcelain of [Member Information Removed]/4, where the new installation was [Member Information Removed] 2 below the old one, because the new one was installed with Large Format, explained to the customer that the baseboards would be removed , accepted the invoice for placing new ones, we ordered a flexible contractor value and we did not charge the customer more, special order, three weeks to arrive, on the order, the customer was consulted and the purchase was approved. - Caulking, 11/08 a team was sent to install the flex baseboard and check all the caulking, the client was present and approved. - Painting of baseboards, the invoice was not approved by the customer, as the painting of the bath we did was not approved. - Plumbing, we finished installing the Island at 5:30 pm, the customer called plumbing and deducted us $ 570 less from the invoice (not even paid yet), on the invoice for the island installation, plumbing was free. At no time was any painting work contracted, casing the doors (customer was aware that the new floor was going to be lower). We were always available from Sunday to Sunday to solve any problem. Photos exposed by the client are old."

I am surprised to say but I am very very happy. The price was right compared to everybody else… And I really shopped around. The crew was so respectful, they cleaned up every day after they left, and all they wanted to do was make sure that I was happy. Fernando I have no words to describe what an amazing job you and your team did. We interviewed a lot of contractors for this job but could not find anyone that we felt we could trust or a company that tried to gouge us because of the Pandemic. The quality, professionalism of all the workers and how fast and clean the team worked is simply crazy. We are so, so happy with you and what you have done for us. Project went fantastic! Fernando and his team showed up on time and competed the work faster than expected. Very well priced. I already had purchased my tile and supplies, they performed only the labor. Approximately 650 square feet in total for a little over 2k.

Fernando is a great guy. Very reliable. He was quick to respond, gave me an estimate and performed the work in the time expected. When minor issues arose he was there to offer solutions. His team are made of hard working professionals. He is honest and attentive. I would hire him for my next job.
