"Overall great experience - they called to set up the estimate w/in 5 minutes of my request, and sent Blanco out the next day. He was very efficient and helpful during the consultation, even suggesting some different options for the exterior lighting we were replacing. When the estimate needed a revision he got it done fast, and started the work the very next day (a Saturday!). The work done so far has been top quality, and I have no doubt that will continue with the last couple of items that will be finished this week."

"Cody and his team replaced the complete service to our building. New 800 amp disconnect, meters and breakers. They ran into a couple unexpected issues during the installation and reacted quickly to solve the problems. Very hard-working crew, I would recommend them without hesitation."

"I couldn?t be happier with the work done on my home! From start to finish, the experience was amazing. They repaired and refinished my wood floors beautifully ? they look brand new! The painting work was flawless, with clean lines and attention to detail, and the bathrooms were done perfectly. They were professional, reliable, and always on time. I really appreciated how respectful they were of my home and how they cleaned up after each day?s work. It?s rare to find someone who takes so much pride in what they do, and it truly shows in the results."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

To determine if your ceiling box can support a fan, you must check if it is specifically fan-rated. Manufacturers are required to indicate this on the box itself. You may need to remove the existing light fixture to look inside the ceiling box for an inscription stating it is rated for fan use. If you do not see this confirmation, the box is likely not strong enough and must be replaced with a fan-rated junction box. For a proper and safe installation, you should also use a fan brace to secure the new box between the ceiling joists, which provides the necessary support for the fan's weight and motion.

Installing a ceiling fan where no wiring exists is a difficult and potentially dangerous job that should not be attempted as a DIY project. It is recommended to hire a certified electrician to build the necessary electrical infrastructure. In some areas, building codes require this work to be done by a professional to ensure safety and compliance. Due to the complexity, this type of installation is a significant job that could cost up to $2,000.

There’s no reason why you can’t install a ceiling fan anywhere in your home, such as in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and dining areas. Most bathrooms already have ventilation and don’t need a ceiling fan. For safety purposes, avoid installing a ceiling fan where the blades will be less than eight feet from the floor, near bunk beds, or anywhere else they may hit nearby objects.

To convert a ceiling fan to wireless, you’ll need to install a canopy module to access the lighting and fan controls. Many options are available, all of which help you control specific elements of your ceiling fan, so you have plenty of choices depending on your needs.
