Small jobs welcome

"Called company and was given a 2 hour window of when they would arrive and they called 30 minutes prior to arrival.  The service guy was very nice and emptied tank and cleaned up and covered tank back up.  I will definitely use ACME from now on.  The last  company that we used several years ago tried to sell me all kinds of services and tried to convince us that we had major drain field issues. This company did none of that, he just pumped it out and had me flush toilets just to make sure all was emptying properly and then he cleaned up.   Honest, very good service and for a good price!!

"Chris Brown septic, did an oustanding job with the installation of my new drainfield. He came on time for the quote, his quote was also very appropriate for work performed. He finished in a timely fashion and made sure I was satisfied with the work that was done. Pulled county permits as quick as possible and neve tried to upsell me on what I did not need."

"Plumber arrived on time. He repaired the leaking pipes and replaced the toilet tank flapper and valve. The toilet flapper replacement alone didn't completely correct the problem. So the plumber replaced the valve apparatus. He made sure the leaks were fixed by rechecking them just before leaving. Excellent work! Would hire again!"

"I just pay $75 you never know who's going to come out. They do everything electrical. Just about everything is covered except the septic tank. I had an air conditioner replaced. It went great, all I had to do was pay for the freon. He didn't charge e more than what was needed."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Most shallow residential wells are somewhere between 25 and 50 feet deep. They are among the simplest well systems. Deeper wells usually involve drilling to a much greater depth. Water wells for household use are typically 100 to 500 feet deep, depending on local groundwater conditions. Some may be up to 1,000 feet deep or more.

Because well water is not artificially filtered or pre-treated, it may contain contaminants. As a result, it’s possible for well water to damage pipes based on what is in the water. Well water can be corrosive, slowly rusting and dissolving pipes, fixtures, and fittings. The corrosion can affect the taste and quality of the drinking water that comes out of the taps in your home.

When considering the price of drilling a well, factor in how much you’ll save in water costs per year. The average family of four uses 100 gallons of water per person per day in the U.S. With a private water well, you can save hundreds each year.

Wells are also environmentally friendly. You don’t need to worry about drinking water treated with chemicals. Talk to at least three well pump contractors in your area. They’ll be able to tell you more about your options, give you different quotes, and discuss the biggest concerns.

We’ve explained how deep-rooted plants can damage a septic tank from the outside, but plenty of things can ruin it from the inside, too. For example, flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, and wipes) can clog your septic tank. Cooking oil, grease, and household chemicals can also harm your system. And since a new septic system costs between $3,460 and $11,450, it’s worth following these guidelines.

The bacteria already present in your septic system should be enough to break down solids in a properly maintained septic tank. However, if you’re in a DIY mood, you can try adding (well-mashed) rotten tomatoes to help the good bacteria fulfill their duty. Just make sure you give them a couple hours to work after flushing them down.
