"H&H was extremely responsive. I needed 3 hose bibs replaced. Bryan did a great job and did the work in an hour. The final bill was lower than what I estimated from was I was initially told. I will definitely use H&H in the future."

"They were quick to respond, and were on time for appt.. After investigating the problem and checking my facilities and clean outs, they advised me that they saw no indications of a clog or slow drain. They offered to go on the roof and go down vents, but when they told me the cost I hesitated. They offered others suggestions for me to try. So, for now, it’s all’s well that ends well."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Regrading your yard can often fix drainage problems. You can also try aerating the lawn to encourage better drainage or install a new drainage system to prevent water from pooling in certain areas.

Clogs in a sprinkler valve can be caused by various factors, including debris in the water supply, sediment buildup inside the valve, or damage to the diaphragm. Debris and sediment can accumulate over time, obstructing the valve's passages and impeding water flow. Damaged diaphragms may develop tears or holes, leading to blockages and affecting the valve's ability to open or close properly. Regular maintenance and cleaning can help prevent and address these issues, ensuring your sprinkler valve operates smoothly.

Boiling water helps unclog a drain, but usually only with a harder abrasive such as baking soda or vinegar. On its own, it isn’t the most effective tool. In addition, you shouldn’t use boiling water if you have PVC pipes, as it can soften or melt them. Use a plunger or enlist the help of a pro if you have plastic pipes.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.

There are several common signs that your main sewer line may be clogged. Key indicators include multiple fixtures in your home draining slowly, gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets, and water backing up into showers, sinks, or toilets. You might also notice water backing up from the plumbing system's drain cleanout, water in your basement drain, or unexplained wet patches on your lawn. Foul odors, such as the smell of raw sewage or rotten eggs, are another common symptom. The most reliable way to confirm a main sewer line clog is to hire a professional plumber to perform a camera inspection.
