"I had Rooter One install my new kitchen faucet. After about 3 weeks I noticed a very slight leak. I called Rooter One on New Years Day and Lawrence came out the very next day. Lawrence found the cause of the leak and he fixed it. The leak was caused by the faucet mounting being smaller than the original."

"CFS sent out a crew, a day earlier than expected...a giant plus. The 2 man crew (it was a small project), arrived and explained what they would be doing and then went straight to work. After completion of the work, the crew cleaned up the worksite area and then explained again what they had done, how long to let it cure before painting and even suggested a quality paint. Cleaning up afterwards is a giant plus. The 2 man crew were friendly, polite and professional and down to earth with their explanations. The final plus with Central Florida Stucco was that they gave me a military discount."

"They trenched by hand, rerouted, and replaced the 4? main sewer line which had been crushed by roots from a large oak tree in my front yard. This was a tough job dealing with lots of large roots and working through underground utilities. They were very cautious, didn?t disturb any utilities, installed quality materials, and gave a one year warranty on their work. Mike and his Dad worked well together as a team. They were pleasant to talk with, very knowledgeable, and got the job done right in 1-day. For the work difficulty, the price was very reasonable. I?d highly recommend them and will hire them again if I have another major plumbing issue."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

No. You should dispose of all oil-based finishing products through a local hazardous waste program. Not only can oil-based finishes be hazardous for the environment if disposed of in the sink, but they can cause clogs in your pipes and stop up your drains. Most municipal garbage or waste disposal companies have a specific location or pick-up schedule for hazardous materials, so that’s your best bet to get rid of excess finishing products.

A clogged air gap can cause a dishwasher not to drain. There are, however, other potential issues that can lead to improper drainage. For example, if you have attached the air gap to a garbage disposal and forgotten to remove the knockout plug, wastewater may backflow into the dishwasher. Check that the air gap is installed properly, and then look for clogs in the air gap and dishwasher filters.

Clearing typically takes 1-2 hours, depending on the blockage size and location.

If you want to avoid using a snake to unclog a drain, or if you don’t have one, try vinegar and baking soda. Pour 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by 1 cup of white vinegar. Wait for 15 minutes, and then run hot water (but not boiling water) down the drain to see if the clog is clear. Repeat multiple times as needed.

Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.
