"Absolutely the ***BEST*** drywall contractors you could possibly ask for, hands down! I wouldn't recommend anyone else besides Arturo and his team, you won't regret hiring them. We had a nightmare of a mess from getting spray foam insulation installed and the other company had left a disaster (didn't even cover any of our belongings, debris & fiberglass everywhere ) it was very stressful having our home unexpectedly torn apart like that AND left a wreck!! Arturo and his team came in to repair/replace all the drywall that was torn down throughout our home. The attention to detail in their work was night and day compared to the other company. You can tell Arturo & team genuinely cares and loves what they do! They were extremely kind and meticulous (Jube & Miguel were awesome), they made sure that we were happy with the results step by step from start to finish ...they also made sure to cover anything that they might get debris on (unlike the other company). They gave us hope that our house would somehow get restored back to normal. I literally cried tears of gratitude after they were finished repairing our ceiling because not only was everything miraculously looking back to normal drywall lighting and all, it looked even BETTER than it did before thanks to the teams commitment to precision and craftsmanship!!! They were true professionals in every way with our project. We are grateful for their integrity and top-tier skill set, we wholeheartedly highly recommend them and definitely would not hire anyone else but them from here on out."

Customers say: Quality work

"Arturo Rodriguez and his Complete Drywall Inc crew have done amazing work for us removing popcorn, applying knockdown texture, and even complete drywall (no pun intended!) replacement on our back porch. The latest job we had them do involved removing popcorn ceiling in our entire home, as well as interior painting — and that work was excellent as well! The crews are fast, clean, precise, and show ultimate respect for the home. If we ever need any additional drywall or painting work done, Complete Drywall will get our business. Complete Drywall and Painting does excellent work for a fair price."

Small jobs welcome

"Gery did a phenomenal job with our primary bath remodel. We had a wall removed, needed ceiling repair, and moved plumbing. Gery was hardworking, fair, and the final product couldn’t be better. We chose a smooth texture instead of the orange peel that fills the rest of our home. It looks so so luxurious and calm now. He also created the arch for our shower which I LOVE. We will absolutely have him out again anytime we need drywall work. Highly recommend!"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use drywall repair techniques for some types of plaster damage. Tiny holes and small cracks in plaster can be patched in similar ways to drywall. You apply the necessary compound to fill the hole, wait for it to dry, then sand it down. For larger damage, like water damage or mold, you need to use plaster-specific techniques and materials.

Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor depends on its type, material, and how it is removed. Plastic anchors, such as expansion or self-drilling types, are generally considered single-use because they are designed to expand and are likely to break or become deformed upon removal. Metal anchors, like toggle bolts, are more durable and can often be reused if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle mechanism can fall inside the wall when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged or must be cut for removal, it cannot be reused regardless of its material.

There is no way to cut drywall without making dust, but you can reduce the amount of dust and especially the dangerous airborne particles by using manual cutting tools. Using a utility knife to score and snap your drywall will minimize dust production, and a jab saw for cutting cutouts for boxes and fixtures will generate almost no airborne dust. Even if you use these methods, you should still wear a respirator and safety goggles to avoid damage to your lungs and eyes.

While it’s most common to sand plaster dry, it is possible to wet-sand plaster, too. Doing so can reduce the amount of plaster dust released into the air and make it easier to work in smaller, more delicate areas (such as around wall trim). However, some people find that wet sanding leads to more imperfections, which is why larger walls are more often dry sanded to ensure an even finish.

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.
