We just bought a house in Sebastian this past November. Last Friday, we had James from JL Midas come out to the house to give us a quote on replacing the old, deteriorating ductwork and adding some blown-in insulation where it had settled and been pushed around over the last 35 years. During the inspection, we found black mold in the ducts. The amount of work that was done to save our system, and the manner in which it was done, were exceptional. James took the time to discuss all my options and then was able to fit us into the schedule the very next week, gave us a fair price for all the work, and the crew that came out to do the job was fantastic. All of the old ductwork was removed and replaced with properly hung, properly sized new ducts. The inlet and outlet of the air handler were sealed and all the registers were cleaned and sanitized. We had 3 pass-throughs installed, one new vent, and a ventilation jumper (essentially a fancier pass-through that better minimized noise and light transmission) installed for the master bedroom. Finally, the insulation for the entire house was topped off, so I know we will be much more comfortable this summer. The three young men that came to the house finished all this work in 2 short days, while remaining polite, considerate of the people and animals they had to work around, and accommodating to all the questions and concerns that I had. I am leaving out their names only out of respect for their privacy, but I would happily have them back anytime I need work done. The first crew arrived on time and set up/cleaned up quickly. I discovered they did not use as much insulation as the estimate was calculated on. They were paid, however. Later, I was contacted by the owner, who had been made aware of the shortage. They happily sent a different crew, who added the needed insulation to make it right. A very honest and responsive business!

Buyer beware: This company installed a completely new system just over a year ago. I have just gone through most of the summer without any AC because of a poorly designed, a poorly installed and a poorly diagnosed system. After countless visits from their technician that failed to find the fault they finally called in an expert from the distributer to show him that it was his equipment at fault. Within 30 minutes this guy showed that the system had been poorly planned and the installation of it had been poorly completed. My "new" ducts in the attic were now unattached. JL Midas did return the $1200 for new parts they had charged me. But have failed to make good on any of the other additional costs to me, including my garage flooding 3 times. Their excuses range from the county inspector passed it, to its poorly designed AC equipment, although its the one they sold me. Nothing seems to be their fault although they do seem quite proud that now its finally working as it should have done so from the start. They lacked the technical equipment to install and diagnose an AC system and had i known as much about AC systems then as I do now, I would never have used them.

Stay local, check references, talk to your neighbors and friends on who they used. Yes, I did find one locally in Indian River County - I physically walked in to their physical location -JL Midas Breathe Kleen Aire and I had work done at my home & yes I recommend them. -These professionals came out and hooked us up with a UV sanitizer and premium cleaning service that we initially weren’t going to do, but seeing the condition of the forced air unit, we deemed it a good investment. There was no pressure on the upgrade, and they were polite and courteous.

They were fantastic and I am so lucky to hire them. I felt so confident and comfortable with the woman I talked to. They were on time, so professional, kind, nice hard worker and they cleaned up after work. They did an excellent work, the price was reasonable, I had a wonderful experience and I will definitely hire them again and recommend them to other people. This is the 3rd company I hired from Angie's list and I am happy with the services provided to me.

They did a very good job. I was very happy with the technicians and they did quality work. They were not the cheapest quote but the work they did was worth it. They even went above and beyond and even my electric bill has gone down considerably. They were all very professional and I would highly recommend them. I would definitely hire them again.

I needed air duct cleaning and they were very efficient and effective. I had also had them install an a/c a few years back so yes I would hire them again. They get to you really fast and are very efficient.
