"I recently moved into a rental that was not taken care of by previous tenants. I had sinus issues the moment I moved in which lead me to find a hvac company to come clean the ducts. "I wasnt happy with my existing HVAC Contractor so I called Air1 of Central Florida. Csaba came within few hours tested the system very methodically and diagnosed that drain pipe was clogged. He cleaned the pipe with pressurized nitrogen. His charges were reasonable."

You should only run your dehumidifier in warmer months, such as spring and summer, to get the best performance out of your system. The standard HVAC warranty is around five years. Still, many brands offer an extension to 10 years if you register the product within a specific timeframe, typically 60 to 90 days post-purchase or HVAC installation. Over the past decade, warranty periods have substantially increased, shifting from 3-5 years in the 90s to the now-prevalent 10+ year warranties. Both warranty types cover parts failing due to manufacturer defects, incurring no additional costs. Some manufacturers provide extended warranties surpassing the usual 15- to 20-year window, though these often involve extra fees. 

Condensation forms when warmer, outside air combines with cooler air in your ductwork. This can happen when there are leaks in your air ducts, your HVAC system has a dirty air filter, or there’s a lack of insulation around the ducts. To prevent it from happening, replace your HVAC filters as directed. Also, once every five years, hire a local air duct cleaner to clean and inspect them.

A new air conditioner capacitor will cost less than replacing the entire air conditioner system. While a capacitor itself will cost between $8 and $25, paying a professional to replace an AC capacitor will cost $180 on average. It’s not safe to replace an air conditioner capacitor on your own.
