"I wasnt happy with my existing HVAC Contractor so I called Air1 of Central Florida. Csaba came within few hours tested the system very methodically and diagnosed that drain pipe was clogged. He cleaned the pipe with pressurized nitrogen. His charges were reasonable."

"Iron Air just completed a great job with our 5 ton HVAC replacement/upgrade. Joey is very knowledgeable regarding all of the various system options available on the market today, and helped guide us into a replacement option that would work within our given physical space constraints. Easy to contact and communicate with, available after hours, and quick to respond. Kevin (our installer) did a wonderful job as well. He was 100% focused on the job, respectful of our needs, and left everything clean and working. I would gladly recommend Iron Air for your A/C maintenance and replacement needs."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Freon will go in the refrigerant lines near the back of your AC unit. Look for small ports with caps on a thin copper line—the Freon goes into those ports. You are best off hiring a licensed HVAC professional who can complete the job safely and correctly.

Yes, a frozen AC unit can affect your indoor air quality since the reduced airflow won't be as effective at removing air pollutants, like dust and other allergens. Additionally, ice around the unit can create excess moisture, leading to mold and mildew that can damage your home if you don’t catch it early.

A dirty AC filter can lower the efficiency of your system, so depending on how dirty it was, you may notice a temperature difference when you clean your filter. You can try other solutions if your AC isn’t blowing as cold as it used to. You can call in a local HVAC tech to make sure everything is running correctly, fix your air seal if it’s a window unit, and clean your coils.

A 3-ton AC unit is probably too big for a home that’s 1,200 square feet. If you have a 1,200-square-foot home, you likely need a unit that’s somewhere around 1.9 and 2 tons. An AC unit that’s too large will be really inefficient and cost you a lot of extra money on your bills.

Setting your AC unit to 78 degrees can, indeed, help you save energy. In fact, according to experts, every degree you turn the unit up could save you between 1% and 3% on your energy bills. That said, turning your unit off entirely while you’re out might actually be less efficient than keeping it on at a higher temperature. Why? The unit will need to work extra hard to cool the house back off again after all those hot hours.
