"This company has amazed me beyond expectations! From the moment I called them till the moment they finished with the fence, everything was well done and came out beautifully. The owner is such a lovely person and I thank him and his workers for all their hard work! I will definitely recommend them to anyone that would ask about my fence."

"We decided on the PVC white fence. THD took care of all the permits and surveys. It took a while to get the permits and materials. However, I was kept informed by a Home Depot rep along the process. Also the fact that I have 24 months to pay the fence at zero interest helped me out tremendously. They removed the old wooden fence (placed it curbside) and placed the new fence. The fence looks amazing and I have not had any issues with the installation. The installers were very professional and courteous. The only constructive critique I will make is that because my yard is not leveled, the bottom of the fence starts off close to the ground but as it gets to the back of the yard the gap between ground and bottom of fence is about 10 inches. Obviously this is something that at times cannot be foreseen however, I would have preferred that this issue had been addressed when it was noticed and maybe we would have decided to install the fence in a step down method. A better option I think would be that THD comes up with a system to fill that gap using the same material as the fence (some kind of horizontal piece etc). I ended up of course filling this gap with soil since it looked terrible and I have a dog etc.. but it was just more work for me... The positive side of installing the fence in a straight pattern is that it is high and visually pleasant and I don't see my neighbors mess... With all that said I would definitely recommend them. I love my new fence."

"Little did we realize when we purchased our home that the shower in the master bath had been improperly constructed, creating moisture-rot and degradation to structural a support joist under our house. Fortunately, we discovered the problem before any permanent damage had occurred, but finding the right contractor for such an important job wasn't all that simple. Our one trusted contractor had moved, and therfore was unavailable. Calling Arthur Forrest with Faith Construction was, to me, a bit of a risk, as his company had less than a half-dozen reviews on Angie's List--although they were all A-ratings. But I was searching for a list of qualifications--the perfect combination of knowledge and skill, communication and customer service skills. And I hoped to find someone who actually cared about his work and reputation. I believe I found all I was looking for when I met Arthur Forrest. He returned my call right away. Check. Rather than delaying his estimate, he worked us into his schedule to come take a look at the problem, and was able to give us his professional opinion within 24 hours. Check. His price was quite fair. Check. Everything he presented to me seemed to line up with the positive reviews I had read about him, as he seemed to care about the work, and put in the time to assessing the problem and getting the proposed solution right. Check. The work was done under my husband's scrutiny, who is not always easy for contractors to please. But by the end of the job, which was done on time and on budget, my husband had nothing but wonderful things to say about the quality of the job. Faith Construction had gone above and beyond to ensure that their work was done to his satisfaction, and done right, without cutting any corners. Mr. Forrest has left me with the string impression that he is an ethical man with a deep concern for his customers' satisafaction, and his company's reputation. After seeing what he is capable of accomplishing, and having experienced how this company conducts business, I have no reservations in recommending Faith Construction to anyone who wants a job done right. I am very pleased."

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

Many different types of animals like to build nests in attics. The types may vary depending on your home’s condition and location and you can prevent them by sealing off entry points and eliminating food sources. The most common critters that like to build nests in your attic include:

  • Raccoons

  • Bats

  • Squirrels

  • Mice

  • Rats

The best deterrents for possums include securing trash cans with tight-fitting lids, removing outdoor food sources like pet food or fallen fruit, and trimming tree branches that provide access to your roof or an open window. Motion-activated lights or sprinklers can also startle and discourage them from visiting. Additionally, you can take advantage of their strong sense of smell by using garlic, onion, or commercial possum repellents to keep them off your property.

Armadillos are not considered friendly animals. They are solitary and tend to avoid human interaction. While not aggressive, they can be shy and reclusive, often scurrying away when approached. Armadillos may carry diseases, so handling them is not advised.

Groundhogs are most active during the warmer months, from spring through fall. On a daily basis, they exhibit peak activity in the early morning (dawn) and late afternoon (dusk), which are their primary feeding times. They tend to stay in their cool burrows during the hottest, sunniest parts of the day. Groundhogs hibernate during the winter, typically retreating to their dens from October or November until mid to late February.

You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.

Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.
