"Ronny Snow and his team did a beautiful job on the restoration of our pool. Our hot tub was in rough condition and at risk of collapsing into our pool. The team made the necessary repairs to the hot tub and then gave the entire pool a new look with coping and tile to match. Mr Snow came out to our home to address questions have and look over the work. Outstanding company with a sense of pride in their work and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. We are very Happy with our pool and would definitely use Ronny Snow again."

"Pete has provided the ultimate in customer service.   He is very accessible and attentive to the needs of a new pool, and goes above and beyond to be sure that his customer's are satisfied.   Over the years, we have had exposure to many others, and he is the best by far!  He provides recommendations and provides added services as needed (as we had some issues with the original installer).
Thanks Pete for such a great experience - we look forward to the weekly service for years to come!

"I have used Aqua Wizard for over 5 years to maintain my salt water pool. They are reliable and come once a week to check the various chemical levels and add to the level of those that require it. They brush clean the walls of the pool and remove loose debris from the filter baskets. They leave a tag on the door after each visit that tells me exactly what was done to pool during the visit. When the technician leaves, the gate to the pool is always closed and secured."

"SATURDAY, April 21st  - The first plumber arrived on time but was unable to install new faucet because the new faucet stem was too large for our existing sink bowl (not their fault). Quoted $201 cost for the faucet installation (with the $78 Angie's List coupon).  Since he was unable to install the faucet, he put the sink back together and I had him raise several hose bibs outside our house so they weren't on the ground since my husband has bad back and bending all the way down to use hoses outside house was a problem.  He did an outstanding  job with these and supported them against house so armadillos wouldn't snap them but the cost seemed pricey for raising 2 hose bibs  ($330.00 ).   The next day (Sunday) when I went to put things back under our bathroom sink, I noticed standing water.  The sink was now leaking underneath.  I called the office that night and was promised a plumber would be out Monday at 4pm to fix the leak.  My husband took off work early to meet them and around 3pm the office called and said the plumber got delayed at his previous job and wouldn't make it to our house that evening.  We weren't very happy about that but the company was always professional and communicated with us every step of the way. We rescheduled for 8am Tuesday morning and again the office called to say the plumber would be late, which was fine.   He arrived about 20 minutes late but got right to work. He fixed the leak under the sink promptly and we had purchased another faucet hoping he would have time to install it and we would pay him directly for that.  We asked him for the cost of the faucet install and he quoted approx. $176 to do the work (without the Angie's list coupon). My concern is that the quote from the first plumber with the Angies List coupon was $201 for the faucet installation but when there was no Angie's List coupon involved, we were quoted $176 for the same job.  It appears that they mark their prices up when an Angie's List coupon is involved and that doesn't seem right to me. The plumber also tried to get us to purchase a plumbing contract with them stating we could save money on this and future jobs but he didn't pressure us or anything, just mentioned it to us.  We don't often have a need for a plumber so for us it wouldn't be worthwhile. In summary, the finished work is fine now.  The leak has been fixed and the installed faucet looks and works great. The company was professional, came back to fix the leak without issue, and communicated well about all changes or issues. I probably wouldn't use them again though because their prices seemed high and they seem to play pricing games."

"This was one of the most frustrating experiences that I've had as a homeowner and a review that I write with very mixed emotions.  I will start by saying that my pool looks great and I'm overall satisfied with the work done.  However, the reason that I went with this company was the reviews on this site talked about how involved the owner was with the process and the great communication and service.  This was not my experience at all.  I don't want someone having the same experience that I did because they didn't have a counterpoint.
Shannon the owner was not involved at all.  Subcontractors did every part of the work and he didn't show up at all except to fix issues caused by poor workmanship on the pavers(they were sloping toward the pool in 3 places) and drains.  During a job like that, communication is an important factor to the homeowner.  The Pool company may have done hundreds of pools, but this is my first. We never knew when there would be work done or not and couldn't seem to get any information without repeated phone calls. When I discover an issue like the sloping of the tiles which is of major concern, I would like to be able to discuss it with the owner as the installation people tried to pull a slight of hand trick on me with a level and then exited stage right without fixing it at all.  However on most calls, I just got voicemail which normally isn't a big deal.  The problem is that to this day, neither Shannon or his salesperson John has EVER called me back.   I don't like having to chase someone to get a response.  I wouldn't say they were avoiding my calls as they were always received warmly, so maybe they just never check their voicemail.
It's been a very frustrating experience and it may be that they were busy with another job and I got lost in the shuffle.  However, my money is still green and I'd like to think that my job, small as it may be, is a little more important than I was made to feel.
All in all, I'm pretty satisfied. The price was good, the pool looks good, their communication just stinks.

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

Start by scheduling your pool and spa service during the dry season between October and May to avoid weather delays. Submit any necessary approval requests to your homeowners association four to six weeks in advance. Request utility locates before any digging begins to protect underground infrastructure. Photograph your existing equipment before work starts, and pre-book required building inspections early to prevent unnecessary project delays in Largo.

Helpful?

Ongoing pool construction and installation maintenance involves frequent water chemistry balancing due to high humidity and intense sun. You must monitor chlorine levels multiple times a week to prevent algae. Inspect your electrical and bonding systems regularly to combat salt air corrosion. In Largo, seal concrete deck cracks promptly to stop water intrusion, and check your screen enclosure panels annually for wind damage.

Helpful?

Build your routine around the two main seasons in Largo. During the dry season, check your chemical balance and inspect the shell for cracks. Before the rainy season, inspect all electrical components and bonding systems to prepare for intense lightning. You must also check drainage channels to prevent deck flooding. Evaluate your pool construction and installation work after any major storm to catch structural damage early.

Helpful?

Combining pool and spa service with other exterior projects makes perfect sense for homeowners. High humidity and salt air degrade pool decks, screen enclosures, and plumbing at the same time. Bundling these projects requires only one permit pull and a single approval from your local homeowners association. Schedule this combined work during the dry season to maximize contractor availability and avoid weather delays in Largo.

Helpful?

Completing pool construction and installation significantly boosts your home's resale appeal. Buyers in FL expect outdoor amenities for year-round usability. Adding a screened enclosure increases this appeal by keeping insects out and managing afternoon rain. A permitted pool aligns directly with the lifestyle expectations of retirees and families in the area. Always meet your neighborhood homeowner association standards to protect your property value.
