Customers say: Quality work

"I had a great experience with Low Cost Concrete! Terrance came in with the lowest bid by far, which initially concerned me, but he did a great job on my driveway extension, which also included tearing out and replacing a portion of the existing driveway. He was courteous, professional, and flexible with my scheduling needs, and my wife was complimentary about his crew, which was a bonus. We have had work crews at times in the past who were loud or who used "colorful" language, but she said that they were cheerful and respectful, and not disruptive. I will definitely use Terrance again if I have future concrete projects."

"I cannot express my gratitude enough to Chris and his team! From the day we called to concrete being poured was a painless process that took less than a week. Even in the face of us considering taking our business else where, he sealed the deal with his kindness and knowledge surrounding the expectations and needs of the job. I'd recommend him for anyone in need of transparent business and quality concrete work."

"It went well beyond my expectations. We went with pavers rather than concrete. Joe gave us a good estimate. He stuck to the budget and the timeline. The work Joe did for us is a work of art. Beautiful. Pavers cost more than concrete but worth every penny."

"Florentino and his guys were awesome. He is honest and does what he says. His work is done professionally and high quality. He handled all the permit issues with the county and walked us through the process with great communication. The finished product is amazing and looks great. Florentine went above a beyond with help in understanding the process and comparing other offers. I will hire JDs concrete again for any concrete work needed. Highly recommend this company."

"I highly recommend this company! They removed concrete around plumbing pipes in both our kitchen and bathroom, which was a very tedious and labor intensive job! They were extremely thorough, took their time to do everything correctly, and left the area clean and ready for the next phase of our remodel. What impressed me most was their attention to detail. After the plumbing work was completed, they returned and poured the concrete back, blending everything seamlessly and leaving a professional finish. It's hard to find contractors who take this much pride in their work, but they truly went above and beyond. If you're looking for reliable, skilled concrete professionals who show up, work hard, and do the job right, I would definitely recommend them."

"Fantastic experience dealing directly with Rich - would definitely use them again. I competed a variety of groups for this job (driveway expansion and repaving) and Rich was most professional and thorough."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Yes, a pressure washer uses less water than a garden hose. There are many ways to use a pressure washer, and it can be an eco-friendly hose substitute. While a pressure washer expels water with greater force, it uses 50% to 70% less water than a garden hose. Specifically, hoses put out six to 10 gallons per minute (GPM), while pressure washers only use two to five GPM.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where it will be stored. If it's kept in a location where temperatures could drop to freezing, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage to the machine. To prevent this, you can add antifreeze to the pump. While emptying the machine with compressed air is an alternative, it can be a tedious process and may not remove all the liquid. If you can store the pressure washer in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, regardless of storage conditions, it is good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before storing it for the winter.

When comparing installation costs, asphalt is often less expensive upfront than concrete. Asphalt prices typically range from $7 to $15 per square foot, while concrete can range from $3 to $18 per square foot. However, long-term costs should also be considered. Concrete driveways generally last longer (up to twice as long) and require less maintenance, which can make them more affordable over their lifespan. While asphalt has a lower installation cost and is easier to repair, it requires more frequent maintenance, such as sealing, which can add up over time. Therefore, while concrete is more expensive initially, its durability may offset the cost in the long run.

If your concrete stains are green in color, it indicates the presence of mold or algae—which you should address right away. If left unattended, mold will spread to other areas throughout the home. However, be careful not to disturb mold on indoor concrete surfaces and work with a local mold remediation specialist for specialized care. Once free from mold and algae, seal your concrete to eliminate pores and gaps.

Does the water in your taps sometimes come out very slowly? If so, you might have problems with low water pressure in your house, and your pressure washer won’t effectively clean. To test if your water pressure is sufficient, time how long it takes for the water from your hose to fill a 5-gallon bucket. Usually, if it takes less than two minutes, you’re good to go.
